by Natalie Lim

There’s always room for dessert. A second stomach made to hold and consume the sweetness of this world, a home for all things sugar and nice. For those who resonate with this saying, Kele will be opening their second outlet in Takashimaya on 14 August 2021.

Specialising in freshly baked cream puffs and roll cakes, you can expect a crispy choux puff with generous fillings and spongey roll cakes that’ll delight your senses.

Located in Takashimaya, Kele’s second concept store will be placed in the Food Hall at Basement Two. The bakery is known for its Japanese-inspired creations, all formulated with premium ingredients for an ultimate experience.

The kiosk will be painted vibrantly pink — a sight hard to miss.

To celebrate their grand opening, Kele will be releasing six new flavours. At S$12.90 for a box of three, the Matcha Avocado is a one-of-a-kind cream puff that matcha lovers will fall in love with.

Soft avocados are mashed and blended with a velvety cream, guaranteed to provide a buttery treat.

For those who prefer a lighter mouthfeel, go for the Sakura Strawberry (S$12.90 for a box of three) instead.

The crispy sakura choux cream puff is highlighted in a pretty shade of pink and holds a generous filling of strawberry cream — a reminiscence of the plump and juicy strawberries in Japan.

Other flavours such as Sweet Potato and Chocolate Mango are available too. Whichever you choose, your dessert cravings are sure to be satisfied.

The durian season may be over, but the craze for this pungent and fleshy fruit never stops. For their Durian Series, Kele has the Premium Durian and Durian Kaya priced at S$14.90 for a box of three.

A unique brown sugar choux puff holds the fragrant filling, packing a punch with each bite.

Do take note that the Durian Kaya is exclusive to the Takashimaya outlet!

The roll cakes are an equal contender. There are a variety of flavours, but the one to take note of would be the Ondeh Ondeh Roll Cake (S$8.90 U.P. S$12.90). There will be a 15% off promotion exclusive to this flavour from now till 31 August 2021.

A moist and fragrant pandan chiffon roll cake is lined with fresh coconut flakes and gula melaka filling — a treat of flavours that all Singaporeans are familiar with.

To make things more enticing, Kele will also be holding a 15% off promotion on all choux cream puffs from now till 31 August 2021 across all outlets.

If you’ve been craving for some sweets, perhaps, it’s time to give Kele a try.
