TAI ER enjoys booming popularity for their delectable Chinese-style sauerkraut fish, but this restaurant seeks to stand apart from its sister brand as a premier grilled fish concept restaurant with a mix of traditional and modern Sichuan-style dishes.

The Green Pepper Grilled Fish (S$55) is the star of the menu, showcasing the Leiocassis fish, with its tender flesh and rich flavour, directly sourced from the Yangtze River. The fish is grilled to a delightful crisp with spicy peppercorns and served with a fragrant broth that is true to the authentic Sichuan flavour.

There are also classic Chinese dishes like the Fried Spicy Bullfrog (S$36) which sees succulent frog meat tossed with a variety of fragrant Chinese spices, peppercorn, and chilli. 

The restaurant caters to diners who prefer milder flavours as well, with a diverse range of options such as Cheese Tomato Grilled Fish, Garlic Crab Roe Grilled Fish and Shrimp with Pineapple Mustard. 

Their Crispy Coconut Fried Chicken (S$12) is not to be missed. The chicken is seasoned to perfection, with every crunch promising a rich coconut aroma that becomes more flavourful with every bite.

The interior is decked out in the familiar cartoon-style characters reminiscent of TAI ER, but with brighter and much more colourful hues. All things considered, I can foresee it being popular for casual gatherings with friends and family.
