It’s none other than the popular K-pop girl group, IVE, that has taken the fangirls (and boys) by storm. 

Well, this is great news for DIVEs, because from now till 30 June 2024, the IVE X LINE FRIENDS pop-up will take place in Velocity at Novena Square.

You may be familiar with LINE FRIENDS having visited their other pop-ups for (G)-IDLE, New Jeans, and BTS. 

They’ve finally collaborated with IVE (it’s about time) and  you can look forward to a bunch of exclusive merch alongside the member’s very own minive character plush dolls — say less, I’m on my way right now

Real DIVEs would know that every member has their own minive character so you can expect to find minive-themed plush dolls (S$28), keyrings (S$28), face pouches (S$28), and even quirky costumes (S$29) to doll them up in. 

Regardless of who your favourite character is, be it CHERRY, GANGANJI or DAL-E, I must say that they all look equally adorable, I might just do a love dive now.

You can’t say that you visited a K-pop pop-up without getting any photo cards right?

Get your hands on various photo card packs (S$8) from IVE’S 2nd EP: IVE Switch (fingers crossed that you get your bias). 

But, if you’re feeling like a prеtty little risky baddie and willing to splurge more, there are postcard sets (S$20), acrylic standees (S$38) and keyrings (S$29) featuring the six members as well.

Now, here’s the best part: anyone who spends S$50 on the IVE merchandise will be able to redeem a random benefit IVE Switch photocard while stocks last. It seems like the perfect sacrifice after spending so much, no? 

Before you leave, don’t forget to capture this precious moment at one of the many photo spots. Take a selca with the life-size cutout of the IVE members or the minive characters in the mirror.

There are eight themed zones in total, filled with all sorts of fun and interactive experiences to explore. First up, explore Zone 1, the Pre-show Theatre where you can watch classic clips from the Despicable Me and Minions films. Zone 2 is where you’ll find the Film Showcase featuring a behind-the-scenes view of the movies via sketches, film stills, character designs, and fan favourite quotations.

Then head over to Zone 3 and 4 and explore the Hallway and Gru’s Labs. Stroll through the interactive Hallway and step into Gru’s Lab where Gru and Dr. Nefario had a blast with their inventions and experiments. Here’s also where you’ll get to step into their shoes and play with interactive elements from the Fart Gun Test and Blueprint Experiment Console Table, to the Immersive Goggles and Gru Character Dossier!

Next up, step into Zone 5 and explore The Girl’s Room, a cute pink-hued explosion of a space filled with a life-sized Fluffy Photo Opp and an Interactive Fluffy Wall, as well as a Digital Coloring Wall.

Ready for more? Move on to Zone 6 and meet the Villains as you have fun with El Macho Memory Game and Bratt Dance before going on to Zone 7, Minions Zone. Minions Zone offers a ton of photo spots as well as interactive games such as Build A Minion, Which Minion Are You and Banana Mania!

Finally, end your trip at Zone 8, Minion Age, where you’ll get to meet minions from different eras ranging from the stone age to the ancient Egyptian era. Once you’re done, don’t forget to stop at the retail store before you leave! There are exclusive merchandise available here so feel free to grab a souvenir or two to commemorate the fun times spent here.

Otah and Friends features our main character, Otah the otter, and a myriad of ‘otter-ly’ cute photo taking spots for your Instagram feed. This pop-up exhibition focuses on an unconventional escape room experience, challenging you to go on a hide-and-seek adventure. Visitors are required to seek out Otah within a stipulated time limit, before the cookies in his oven burn. 

The curated exhibition will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. This includes a 15 minutes long pre-show, 15 minutes of hide-and-seek game, and the final 15 minutes spent in a cheery sunflower-filled backyard picnic.

First look at Otah and Friends

One of the most notable and photogenic spots in this exhibit is Otah’s cozy and pastel-hued living room. Step into a baby blue painted floor encapsulated by baby pink walls. Explore more in Otah’s kitchen and a giant tree filled with cute interactive props and clues.

Once you have found Otah, you will be rewarded with some lemonade and cookies that are baked by instagram famous bakery, Whiskdom, in Otah’s backyard!

Extended to 4 April with new installations

Due to popular demand, the initial end date (26 February 2021)  for the exhibition have been extended to 4 April 2021. You now have even more time to plan a visit to Otah’s house!

There are also new installations in the exhibition such as the highly instagrammable fairy light tunnel, portraits of Otah’s family, and other photogenic spots. 

Additionally, from 1 March onwards, you would be able to meet Otah’s mascot and enjoy a delightful picnic with him. This meet and greet session will happen daily from 3pm to 6pm. 

From 1 April to 4 April, you will also get to participate in Otah’s Easter Egg Hunt to collect five eggs that are hidden throughout the house. Once all five eggs have been collected, you will be qualified for the lucky dip where limited edition Otah and Friends plushies could be won. 

Tickets are priced at S$15 per pax for a minimum of two pax, while a private session for 5 pax costs S$48—buy four and you’ll get one free. Book your tickets in advance here.
