Nightflix Somerset is taking place at Somerset Youth Park — and no, you don’t have to be a youth to enter the park. The event will stream free movies every first Saturday of the month starting from 4 November, from 7.30pm to 9.15pm. 

As its name suggests, you get to enjoy the movies under the stars, with the gentle night breeze to keep you cool. Having been to Films at the Fort and Sentosa’s Movies by the Beach, I have to say that this is definitely a very unique movie-going experience that you have to try out. Plus, the event is absolutely free of charge — yay!

To score yourself a spot, all you gotta do is to register here, or via the Cinewav app. You’ll also get to enjoy a free scoop of ice cream — double yay. Once you’ve secured a slot, all you need to do is to prepare your picnic mat, some snacks, and a pair of headphones (preferably noise cancellation, for a better movie-watching experience). 

There’s an exciting line-up of films that will be aired all centre around the theme of Coming-of-Age that reflects the experience of growing up, which — let’s be real — is often awkward, terrifying, uncomfortable, challenging and exciting all at once. 

Other films on the line-up include Beneath the Orchids, Dirty Laundry, Pho Tha, and No ragrets. There’s even a film about vampires called Dying to Defrost. 

If you’re looking for a chill date-night activity to do with your significant other, Nightflix Somerset is the perfect activity for you to spend a romantic evening with your partner under the stars.
