Not to be confused with zi char restaurant Golden Cafe along Craig Road, the coffeeshop is about a 15-minute walk from Aljunied MRT Station. Simply type in “共和海鲜火锅” on Google Maps and you should be good to go.

It’s a small step up from the standard coffeeshop seating, with a chilled display of seafood and meats on the side — just look out for the hungry customers with metal tongs in hand.

At just S$28 nett/pax for adults, and S$14/pax for children, you can go all out at Gonghe Seafood Hotpot’s free-flow and self-service seafood buffet. That’s right, we’re talking unlimited seafood and meat with no GST or service charge.

From seafood like crabs, mussels, crawfish, clams, scallops, and prawns, to meats like beef, mutton, and pork, the extensive selection of ingredients may leave you spoilt for choice.

Choose between Thai-style mookata or traditional Chinese hotpot — the latter comes with options like tom yum, chicken broth, and Sichuan mala.

Do note that dine-in is limited to two hours, but that’s plenty of time to eat your body weight in seafood (we won’t judge).
