This Japanese-inspired dessert cafe serves refreshing Kakigori (Japanese shaved ice that is too pretty to eat), cloudlike Soufflé pancakes, and thick honey toasts. 

And, to make your daydreams better, they’ve even got multiple alcoholic desserts on the menu.

The interior feels straight out of a Japanese garden, with its warm lighting and white pebbles scattered beneath plants.

It’s the perfect escape for a mid-afternoon sugar retreat, especially with their signature Kakigori menus. 

The Matcha Osmanthus Kakigori (S$13.90) is a dreamy shaved ice with orange azuki, mascarpone cream, and honey tuile. 

The Hokkaido Milk Kakigori (S$12.90) is equally entrancing, with its charcoal rum foam, honey lotus seed, plum sauce, and caramel puff rice. 

You can’t miss the Honey Thick Toasts, which are another highlight of the cafe. 

As a self-proclaimed coffee addict, I’ll be making a beeline for the Espresso Toast (S$12.90), which comes with charcoal rum foam, espresso gelato, and caramelised bananas.

For my sweet-and-savoury lovers, go for the local-inspired options such as the mochi-filled Salted Egg (S$14.90) with taro gelato and coconut cream, or the Kaya Butter (S$12.90) with salted cream foam. 

No Japanese cafe is complete without the fluffiest soufflé pancakes, and Daydream Desserts isn’t here to play with theirs, with unconventional flavours like Kumquat (S$15.90) and Gula Melaka (S$12.90).

And who can ever say no to cake? The Kochi Yuzu Layer Cake (S$8) is a standout—soft vanilla chiffon with layers of yuzu cremeux, marmalade, and a white chocolate crispy crunch.

Their Gelato (S$5 per scoop) also come in unique flavours like Orange Campari, Fior Di Latte (mozzarella cheese), and Stracciatella.

And of course, every dessert deserves its own drink sidekick. You won’t be disappointed with their specialty beverages, the nutty Sesame Hojicha (S$7.50), Sparkling Honey Osmanthus (S$6.50), or the Matcha Strawberry (S$8.50).
