It’ll be impossible to list them all, so we did our extensive research and shortlisted these five trendy cafes for your next trip to Saigon. 

1. Oasis Cafe

Have you ever visited an aquarium with a friend who describes how they’ll marinate, grill, and pan-fry the fish for dinner?

Instead of being tormented by your friend, bring them to Oasis Cafe! Both you and your friend will get to experience walking and dining among ponds filled with multicoloured Koi fish swimming around. 

But you’ll need to manage your friend’s expectations slightly, as the cafe doesn’t use the Koi fish in their dishes! 

The menu is already extensive, so there’s no need for the cruel sacrifice. 

From spicy Spanish Roasted Chicken with Rice (79,000 VND) and ironic Fish & Chips – The Full Catch (119,000 VND) to comforting Tom Yum Fried Rice (82,000 VND), the menu items are flexible and appealing to everyone. 

Make sure to pre-book before heading down to avoid the dreadful one-hour wait. But trust us, the Koi fish are worth the wait after all.

2. Rose Villa 

Stepping into the Rose Villa Saigon feels like being instantly transported to the Flower Dome in Marina Barrage. Unlike Marina Barrage, this luxurious cafe is split into four gorgeous areas — Garden, Pool, Library and Lounge.

The best part about the cafe is the elegant aura it carries, especially since it’s located within a private club reserved for premium members. 

But don’t worry! Put your FOMO (fear of missing out) aside, because the cafe is also accessible to non-members. 

Anticipate the Bridgerton or Alice in Wonderland vibes as you settle by the pool with a cup of afternoon tea and cake (200,000 VND) in your hands. 

It’s definitely a small price to pay, and in our opinion, it’s worth the regal aesthetics and the chance to live out your fabulous fantasy as a princess from a royal family.

3. Tiệm cà phê Noọng Ơi  

Enough with the roses and Koi fishes, perhaps you want to visit a space that lets you rejuvenate and reconnect with nature. 

If so, then Tiệm cà phê Noọng Ơi, also known as Noong Oi Old Coffee, is the perfect spot for you. 

Hidden amongst the flora and fauna, the cafe is famous for its perfect blend of delicious food and relaxing nature vibes.  

While locals tend to run over for their assortment of drinks and pretty photoshoots, we personally recommend you try out their Special Hmong Chicken Meat Platter (1,299,000 VND), which would be perfect for a party of three to four.

4. Mê Coffee Go Vap

Calling all Butterbear fans, HCMC has a famous cafe that may steal your favourite Thailand mascot’s spotlight. 

Except instead of one bear, it’s multiple bears hanging out along Phan Văn Trị street, where locals and tourists alike are awed by the cuteness overload of the place. 

Try your hardest not to get distracted by the mountain of teddy bears, and you can spot the entrance of Mê Coffee Go Vap cafe hidden amongst the bears. 

This teddy bear-themed cafe is known for its exaggerated amount of teddy bears, to the point where customers can even borrow a bear for adorable selfies.

If you’re considering kidnapping a teddy bear and bringing it back home, please stop your intrusive thoughts, as the teddy bears aren’t for sale. Instead, we suggest taking as many pictures as your heart’s desire. 

Since it’s a coffee shop, the establishment only has drinks available, such as creamy Ice-Blended Matcha (38,000 VND), refreshing Coconut Coffee (38,000 VND), quenching-thirsting Mango Tea with Aloe Vera (32,000 VND) and more.

5. Du Miên Garden Coffee

Our last recommendation on the list is none other than Du Miên Garden Coffee. It’s a comforting blend of Oasis Cafe and Noong Oi Old Coffee, where nature meets coffee. 

In terms of distance, this cafe is conveniently along the same street as teddy bear galore, Mê Coffee Go Vap cafe. Perfect for a dedicated cafe-hopping day! 

Other than just the convenience, the cafe’s beautiful ambience is breathtaking. Many locals and tourists flock to this establishment for the food, drinks, and pretty vibes. 

Other than the ambience itself, the menu is also stacked with many options to satisfy your cravings. 

Ranging from sinful finger food and sandwiches (55,000 VND) to delicious fried noodles with seafood (72,000 VND), this spot is perfect for either breakfast, lunch or dinner.
