<p>We’ve covered our hacks to <a href="https://confirmgood.com/post/5-insider-tips-to-tokyo-disneyland/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Tokyo</strong> <strong>Disneyland</strong></a>, <a href="https://confirmgood.com/post/tokyo-shopping-spots/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">shopping</a> heaven, and even a curated list of must-try <a href="https://confirmgood.com/post/15-halal-friendly-spots-in-tokyo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Halal restaurants</a> for your upcoming <strong>Tokyo</strong> trip.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Now, we’ve done the legwork and consolidated <strong>30</strong> restaurants and cafes that you have to check out in Tokyo.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Do note that they are <strong>not</strong> Halal-friendly as their menu does contain <strong>non-Halal</strong> meat and alcohol.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">1. AFURI Finemen</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1000" height="1000" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-265.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-104419" style="width:800px" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-265.jpeg 1000w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-265-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-265-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-265-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-265-70x70.jpeg 70w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-265-585x585.jpeg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Photo: @afuri_finemen/Instagram</figcaption></figure>

<p>At the top of our list is <strong>Afuri Finemen</strong>, a popular ramen chain with a flagship outlet in <strong>Ebisu</strong> and multiple outlets in <strong>Harajuku, Shibuya</strong>, <strong>Roppongi</strong>, and more.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Their signature dish is the <strong>Yuzu Shio Ramen</strong> made with <strong>dashi</strong> broth, a tinge of <strong>yuzu citrus,</strong> and chicken or pork slices. A single bowl goes for <strong>¥880 (S$7.30) </strong>and may go up to <strong>¥1,000 (S$8.30)</strong> with additional toppings.</p>

<p>Afuri offers both <strong>affordability</strong> and <strong>quality</strong> in a single bowl, and if you’re a huge fan of yuzu, then this is one restaurant you shouldn’t skip.&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">2. Kagari Honten</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" width="680" height="425" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-262.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-104417" style="width:800px" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-262.jpeg 680w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-262-300x188.jpeg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-262-585x366.jpeg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Photo: 銀座 篝 本店/Google Images</figcaption></figure>

<p>Next on the list is none other than <strong>Kagari Honten</strong>, another <strong>popular</strong> ramen chain amongst food and travel influencers. Its flagship store is in Ginza; however, there are <strong>multiple</strong> outlets in <strong>Otemachi, Ikebukuro, Sapporo, </strong>and more.&nbsp;</p>

<p>While they have ramen and other side dishes <strong>available</strong>, their noteworthy dish is the <strong>Tori Paitan Soba</strong>—thick, <strong>creamy</strong> chicken broth-based ramen that’s known to win everyone’s heart instantly.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A bowl goes for just<strong> </strong><strong>¥950</strong> <strong>(S$7.88)</strong>, but expect for prices to <strong>go</strong> up to<strong> ¥3,300 (S$27.39)</strong> once you add on truffle and seasonal toppings.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Kagari Honten</strong><br><a href="https://www.instagram.com/kagari_honten/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Instagram</a> | <a href="https://epark.jp/shopinfo/jsp639734/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Website</a>&nbsp;<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f4cd.png" alt="📍" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Various Locations<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f552.png" alt="🕒" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Various Timings&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">3. Fuunji</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" width="677" height="510" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-263.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-104416" style="width:800px" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-263.jpeg 677w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-263-300x226.jpeg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-263-585x441.jpeg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 677px) 100vw, 677px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Photo: Rodney Sagmit/Google Images</figcaption></figure>

<p><strong>Fuunji Shinjuku</strong> is a local’s favourite with glowing reviews from both locals and tourists. Plus, it’s convenient enough to travel to—just a <strong>10-minute</strong> walk from the<strong> JR Shinjuku Station South</strong> Exit.</p>

<p>What sets Fuunji apart from our previous two spots is its dense, <strong>umami-packed</strong> broth made from <strong>fish</strong> and chicken essence, paired with chewy, firm noodles—the classic <strong>Tsukemen </strong>experience.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A regular Tsukemen bowl costs <strong>¥1,000</strong> <strong>(S$8.30)</strong>, and with additional toppings it can go up to <strong>¥1,200 (S$9.96)</strong>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Do note that they only accept cash, so be sure to visit prepared. If you enjoy fish broth and want something reminiscent&nbsp; of <strong>Ban</strong> <strong>Mian</strong> in Tokyo, Fuunji is definitely worth a visit.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Fuunji&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong><br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f4cd.png" alt="📍" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> 2-14-3 Yoyogi Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan&nbsp;<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f552.png" alt="🕒" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> 11am–9pm (Daily)&nbsp;<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/260e.png" alt="☎" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> +81 3 6413 8480</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">4. Japanese Soba Noodles Tsuta&nbsp;</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="819" height="1024" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-266-819x1024.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-104420" style="width:800px" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-266-819x1024.jpeg 819w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-266-240x300.jpeg 240w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-266-768x960.jpeg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-266-1229x1536.jpeg 1229w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-266-1170x1463.jpeg 1170w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-266-585x731.jpeg 585w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-266.jpeg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Photo: Japanese Soba Noodles Tsuta/Facebook</figcaption></figure>

<p>It’s a known fact that the <strong>Japanese Soba Noodles Tsuta</strong> ramen chain was the <strong>first</strong> ever to be awarded a <strong>Michelin </strong>star. Because of its popularity, only <strong>150 </strong>bowls of ramen are served daily, and you’re encouraged to arrive as early as <strong>7am</strong> to pre-queue for a timeslot to dine in.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Their basic ramen bowls may suffice, but with all that effort, we recommend going all out with their signature <strong>Shoyu Soba</strong> which is truffle-enhanced with <strong>unique</strong> aged shoyu and whole-wheat noodles.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Standard bowls range from&nbsp; <strong>¥1,000 (S$8.30)</strong> to <strong>¥1,500</strong> <strong>(S$12.45)</strong>, with prices increasing for extra toppings or special ingredients.&nbsp;</p>

<p>While the entire experience might feel troublesome for casual travellers,&nbsp; if you truly live to eat, then this is an <strong>opportunity</strong> you shouldn’t miss.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Japanese Soba Noodles Tsuta&nbsp;</strong><br><a href="https://www.facebook.com/jsn.tsuta/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Facebook</a> | <a href="https://www.instagram.com/tsutajapanofficial/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Instagram</a> | <a href="https://www.tsuta79.tokyo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Website</a>&nbsp;<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f4cd.png" alt="📍" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> 2-11-4 Taito City, Asakusa, 111-0032 Tokyo<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f552.png" alt="🕒" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> 11.30am–3pm (Wed to Mon)&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">5. Menya Musashi</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="677" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-264-1024x677.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-104418" style="width:800px" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-264-1024x677.jpeg 1024w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-264-300x198.jpeg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-264-768x507.jpeg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-264-1170x773.jpeg 1170w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-264-780x516.jpeg 780w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-264-585x387.jpeg 585w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-264-263x175.jpeg 263w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-264.jpeg 1400w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Photo: Menya Musashi/Google Images</figcaption></figure>

<p>While we have <strong>Menya Musashi</strong> in <strong>Singapore</strong>, visiting the original outlets in Tokyo gives you a completely different <strong>experience</strong>. If you’re planning to visit in Tokyo, not to worry, as there are <strong>14</strong> to <strong>15</strong> outlets sprawled across Tokyo, with the <strong>flagship</strong> store located in Shinjuku.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When you get the chance to visit Menya Musashi, you’ll definitely have to order their <strong>Tonkatsu </strong>or <strong>Tsukemen </strong>variations—both feature tender, slow-cooked pork belly in a thick, flavourful broth.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A typical bowl ranges from <strong>¥800</strong> to <strong>¥1,500</strong> <strong>(S$6.64 </strong>to<strong> S$12.45)</strong>, with an additional <strong>¥100 </strong>to<strong> ¥400 (S$0.83 </strong>to<strong> S$3.32) </strong>for extra toppings.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Menya Musashi</strong><br><a href="https://tabelog.com/en/tokyo/A1303/A130301/13030753/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Website</a>&nbsp;<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f4cd.png" alt="📍" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Various Locations&nbsp;<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f552.png" alt="🕒" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> 11am–10.30pm (Daily)&nbsp;</p>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading" id="sushi">Sushi&nbsp;</h1>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">6. Uogashi Nihon-Ichi</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-271-768x1024.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-104426" style="width:800px" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-271-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-271-225x300.jpeg 225w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-271-585x780.jpeg 585w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-271.jpeg 1100w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Photo: V35p_trip/Google Images</figcaption></figure>

<p>When it comes to sushi, we’re definitely going to recommend <strong>UOGADHI NIHON-ICHI </strong>for the classic standing sushi bar experience. There are over <strong>40</strong> outlets in Tokyo, with <strong>Shibuya Dogenzaka</strong> being the most popular outlet among locals and tourists.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It’s practically sushi heaven, as each piece goes for <strong>¥100 (S$0.83), </strong>and a single meal ranges from <strong>¥1,200 </strong>to <strong>¥2,000 (S$9.97 </strong>to <strong>S$16.61). </strong>Even though it’s affordable, the quality is not compromised.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Uogashi Nihon-Ichi</strong><br><a href="https://tabelog.com/en/tokyo/A1302/A130201/13195444/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Website</a> <br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f4cd.png" alt="📍" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Various Locations <br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f552.png" alt="🕒" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> 11am–11pm (Mon to Fri), 11am–10pm (Sat), 11am–9.30pm (Sun) </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">7. Umegaoka Sushi Midori</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="680" height="453" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-269.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-104424" style="width:800px" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-269.jpeg 680w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-269-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-269-585x390.jpeg 585w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-269-263x175.jpeg 263w" sizes="(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Photo: 梅丘 寿司の美登利 総本店/Google Images</figcaption></figure>

<p>If the standing-bar style isn’t your thing and you’d rather enjoy an omakase experience, check out <strong>Umegaoka Sushi Midori.</strong><br><br>Known for its <strong>value</strong> omakase and <strong>generous</strong> sets, it’s a great spot to try. Like some of our other recommendations, the restaurant has multiple outlets across Tokyo, including Shibuya, Ginza, Shinjuku, and more. </p>

<p>Unsure what to order? Go for the <strong>Sushi Set,</strong> as it includes eight to 12 pieces of Nigiri sushi—tuna, shrimp, eel, and seasonal fish—and is served with miso soup, salad, and sides.<br><br>Prices for lower-range sets are <strong>¥2,000 </strong>and <strong>¥2,500 (S$16.60 </strong>to <strong>S$20.75),</strong> while the premium sets go for <strong>¥3,000 </strong>and <strong>¥3,800 (S$24.90 </strong>to <strong>S$31.54)</strong>.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Umegaoka Sushi Midori&nbsp;</strong><br><a href="http://www.sushinomidori.co.jp/." target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Website</a>&nbsp;<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f4cd.png" alt="📍" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Various Locations&nbsp;<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f552.png" alt="🕒" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> 11am–9pm (Daily)&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">8. Tachigui Sushi Uogashi Yamaharu</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="640" height="427" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-267.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-104422" style="width:800px" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-267.jpeg 640w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-267-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-267-585x390.jpeg 585w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/image-267-263x175.jpeg 263w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Photo by Tachigui Sushi Uogashi Yamaharu</figcaption></figure>

<p>Located in the basement of the<strong> Toranomon Hills</strong> office building, <strong>Tachigui Sushi Uogashi Yamaharu</strong> is a standing-bar-style omakase restaurant known for its noteworthy sushi sets.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Everyone’s favourite gyukatsu spot—<strong>Gyukatsu Motomura</strong>. Gyukatsu is traditionally a <strong>breaded</strong> pork cutlet, but Gyukatsu Motomura went <strong>viral</strong> for their breaded <strong>beef</strong> cutlet.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Every plate of breaded beef cutlet comes with a hot stone <strong>grill</strong>, allowing you to cook the beef to your <strong>preferred</strong> doneness. This <strong>interactive</strong> and satisfying eating experience makes it easy to see why first-timers are willing to queue.</p>

<p>While they have a wide selection of gyukatsu sets, we believe the <strong>Standard Gyukatsu Set</strong> <strong>(120g)</strong>,<strong> </strong>which goes for <strong>¥2,110 (S$17.51),</strong> is sufficient for most diners.
