<p>If we had to pick one Pixar character as the most iconic of the past decade, it has to be the adorable yellow<a href="https://confirmgood.com/post/halloween-horror-nights-singapore-2021/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> minions</a>. Being such a huge hit, it&#8217;s kinda surprising that another hadn&#8217;t popped up after the first Minion Cafe at Orchard Central closed down a few years back.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="800" height="488" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore.jpg" alt="minion cafe singapore" class="wp-image-32412" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore.jpg 800w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-300x183.jpg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-768x468.jpg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-585x357.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /><figcaption>Photos: @kevin_the_hiak/instagram</figcaption></figure>

<p>But the crazy little critters finally have a new home at a new Minion Cafe pop-up at Clarke Quay. The whimsical<a href="https://confirmgood.com/post/themed-cafe-singapore/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> themed cafe</a> will be opening on <strong>28 Oct 2021 and will remain open until 2 Jan 2021 of next year</strong>.</p>

<p>If you have a little one who loves Minions &#8212; or a friend, adults can like them too &#8212; they&#8217;d definitely enjoy the cutesy vibes where the walls are plastered with vibrantly coloured Minion art. There are statues of Gru&#8217;s assistants hanging around too!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-2.jpg" alt="minion cafe singapore" class="wp-image-32414" width="780" height="975" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-2.jpg 800w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-2-240x300.jpg 240w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-2-768x960.jpg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-2-312x390.jpg 312w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-2-585x731.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px" /><figcaption>Photo: @jazpster/instagram </figcaption></figure>

<p>Besides the quirky decor, you can also find some adorably plated food on Minion Cafe&#8217;s menu that are just as IG-worthy as the space itself.</p>

<p>If you fancy some carbs, you can go for the<strong> Chicken Keema Curry (S$25) </strong>that features a pile of rice smartly moulded into the shape of a Minion while the <strong>Minion <em>Wagyu </em>Lunch Plate (S$28)</strong> also comes with 2 mini riceballs accompanying a slab of juicy <em>wagyu</em>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="800" height="950" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-4.jpg" alt="minion cafe singapore" class="wp-image-32411" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-4.jpg 800w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-4-253x300.jpg 253w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-4-768x912.jpg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-4-328x390.jpg 328w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-4-585x695.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /><figcaption> Photo: @eileen_eats_alot/instagram </figcaption></figure>

<p>Other hearty options on the Minion Cafe menu includes a <strong>Minion Kelong Prawn &amp; Scallop Pizza (S$26)</strong> that&#8217;s topped with tiger prawns, scallops, and most importantly, cute Minion faces.</p>

<p>More interestingly, the Minion Cafe&#8217;s menu actually takes a lot of inspiration from Singapore food, with classic items such as chilli crab reimagined into fluffy edible minions in a platter of <strong>Minion Pumpkin Mantou with Chilli Crab Dip (S$15/4pcs)</strong>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="976" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-3.jpg" alt="minion cafe singapore" class="wp-image-32410" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-3.jpg 800w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-3-246x300.jpg 246w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-3-768x937.jpg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-3-320x390.jpg 320w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/minion-cafe-singapore-3-585x714.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /><figcaption>Photo: @kevin_the_hiak/instagram</figcaption></figure>

<p>To end off the visit on a sweet note, you can get their<strong> Minion Banana Boat (S$18), </strong>a white chocolate banana split that&#8217;s loaded with strawberry and cotton candy ice cream, as well as cornflakes and blueberries. What more appropriate dessert than the Minions&#8217; favourite fruit?</p>

<p>If you&#8217;re just looking to leave Minion Cafe without over-indulging but still want some sweets, you can go for some of the drinks including the <strong>Minion Banana Drink (S$9)</strong> and <strong>Yellow Bellow Pineapple (S$9)</strong> that is a concoction of pineapple and lemon juice.</p>
