Like its other outlets across China and Japan, you’ll be eating your way through New York with Coach’s elevated takes on casual American classics. 

The all-day menu celebrates iconic New York bites, and the crowd-favourite is the Grilled Cheese (S$13), which is just comfort in a bowl. The house-made sourdough with melted American cheddar, gruyère, and extra sharp cheddar complemented the hearty tomato soup.

The Fully-Loaded Reuben (S$30) is the most expensive item on the menu, and it’s stuffed with corned beef that has a smoky kick to it. 

However, I can’t justify paying thirty bucks for a single sandwich, so you should probably opt for the Reuben (S$19) instead, with less meat but the same ingredients.

The Wagyu Beef Hotdog (S$15) is a fancier version of the classic hotdog, but it wasn’t impressive, so this one gets a pass from us.

Keep a lookout for the weekend-exclusive The Classic Cheeseburger (S$22) made with premium wagyu and served with a side of curly fries.

For pastries, look to the Crullers (S$5.50) in flavours like Raspberry, Maple, and Apple Crumble.

If you need to cool down, Coach’s Signature Soft Serve comes in flavours such as Lemon Meringue Pie (S$9), Peanut Butter & Jelly (S$8), and Peaches & Cream (S$8). You can also top up S$1.50 for a Cone.

There’s also the Singapore-exclusive Chilli Crab (S$9) flavour that comes with a fried mantou. My taste buds are still confused, because this was hands down the weirdest ice cream we’ve ever tried.

This tasted exactly like chilli crab, but I’m not sure that’s something most people are looking for in their ice cream.

Of course, no meal is complete without drinks. Explore their seasonal offerings with the Strawberry Matcha (S$9), a ceremonial-grade matcha latte topped with a light strawberry foam. There are definitely better matcha lattes in Singapore, so I’d skip this.

We preferred the tangy, popsicle-inspired Orange Cream (S$9), which struck a good balance between sweet and sour, with a creamy finish.

The classic Coach drinks are also here. The Chocolate (S$8.50), available as Hot and Iced variations, is topped with the cocoa-dusted “C”, and the refreshing Iced Lemonade (S$8) comes with lemon “C”-shaped ice.

Just in case you’re in the mood to splurge, check out the retail section for Coach’s latest bags, clothes, and accessories. There’s also merchandise with the coffee cup mascot, Lil Miss Jo, from tote bags to mugs and water bottles.

Admin can’t afford a Coach bag, so the next best thing is walking around with a drink from their cafe. Will you be trying their nostalgic American bites?

Another spectacle to witness (and taste) is Kebabs Factory’s 15kg sizzling char-grilled chicken stack. Get a piece of this pie with the Berlin-style Döner Kebab (S$16), carved straight from it.

While you’re at it, grab their GrillFest Exclusive Promo — a 6pc Grill Box (S$34.90) consisting of any three Kathi or Shawarmas.

Singapore’s Dry Aged Meat Specialist has tricks of their own up their sleeve too. DAMN is best known for their sold-out Dry Aged Beef Burger (S$24) and Ribeye Skewer (S$26). 

But the true showstopper is their returning exclusive Smoked Brisket Live Carving Station. The Texas-style Smoked Brisket (S$28) is marinated and slow-smoked for 18 hours and carved to order here.

Beyond these beefy bites, dive into the ocean’s freshest catches at Slurp Your Oysters, a People’s Choice Award winner and the place to get premium Japanese oysters.

Nothing says seaside indulgence like their Mala Mussels w/ Toasted Garlic French Loaf (S$18) and Negitoro Pie Tee (S$18).

The International Grill is also coming in hot with a global gastronomic journey. Camo Caribbean x Carnaby brings the Caribbean’s flavours, with the rare chance to try Jamaican chef Ricardo Allen’s only true Jamaican Jerk Chicken (S$16) in Singapore. 

Or get fired up over Gyushi’s value for money Mala Wagyu Beef Bowl (S$15) and Papi’s Tacos’ Grilled Beef Birria Tacos (S$18).

For both beach views and bites, the best of both worlds is at Beachside Grills.

Here, CHARROU SG 炙肉 debuts at Sentosa GrillFest with their siu yuk, crystal char siew, and roasted duck in lotus buns. I don’t blame you if your mouth waters for all three — so get the CHARROU Trio Bao (S$19) to try them together!

Kampung Food Club is also not to be missed with their recommended Whole Roasted Aug Wagyu Beef Knuckle (80g) (S$25) and their weekly Special Meat of the Day.

After eating your way through the Grills, don’t hang up your napkin just yet. 

The new Marketplace, a part grocer, part kitchen concept, lets you shop premium cuts of meat, locally farmed seafood, and fresh vegetables. Then, kick back and let expert chefs cook your picks at live grilling stations while learning curated cooking tips.

1. Cable car rides 

What better way to see our country’s favourite resort island than a relaxing cable car ride? Hop onto a cable car on the Sentosa Line and you’ll be able to see some really gorgeous sights of the island’s lush greenery and sparkling coastal views. Plus, you can get a free cable car ride valid until 31 October if you sign up for an Islander membership (it’s free!). 

2. Central Beach Bazaar 

I’ve always wanted to experience a county fair, or just a carnival with lots of sinful food trucks parking around — and now thanks to Sentosa’s upcoming Central Beach Bazaar (opening in September), it’s going to become a reality. With a variety of international street bites as well as a magical fountain show and even Southeast Asia’s tallest sky jet, you can easily spend an entire day at the island’s newest attraction.

3. Movies By The Beach 

Experience a romantic night under the stars at Sentosa’s Movies By The Beach — a free outdoor movie screening by the waves with beautiful views of the city’s skyline. The movie screenings will take place on alternate Fridays until 23 September, with the next screening being 19 August at 7.30PM. Seating is based on a first come first serve basis so remember to plan ahead if you want to get the best spot!

4. Universal Studios Singapore 

Being the only Universal Studios theme park in Singapore, USS practically needs no introduction. If you’re looking for a fun day out with thrill rides like The Mummy, Transformers and Battlestar Galactica, you can easily spend a whole day here. Besides the rides, there’s also a bunch of meet and greets and special shows to enjoy, so there’s bound to be something for everyone (even for the ones who get a little skittish at rides!).

5. SEA Aquarium 

Atlantis might or might not be real, but at least SEA Aquarium definitely is. Lauded as one of the world’s largest aquariums with a huge variety of marine life from giant manta rays to sharks, crabs and more, it’s really tough not to be in awe at this attraction — and also by the fact that our tiny island is able to house all of these magnificent creatures in such gorgeous habitats. Plus, for those who don’t like being out in the sun, you’ll love that the aquarium is fully air-conditioned and sheltered. 

6. Adventure Cove

Adventure Cove isn’t just any other ordinary waterpark. Not only does it have a wide variety of different water rides from adrenaline-pumping slides to mellow lazy rivers, they even have aquariums for you to interact with some of the marine life on the island while you’re enjoying your sunny day out. Swimming with some adorable (and smiley) rays at the Ray Bay Encounter in the waterpark? Count me in. 

7. Fort Siloso Night Experience 

Most of us have probably learnt about the significance of Fort Siloso during World War II, but how many of us have actually been able to experience what it was actually like during the dark times of war? With the Fort Siloso Night Experience, you can learn more about the history and circumstances of the time through a guided tour at night lit up only by a small kerosene lamp (so you really experience what it was like back then!). 

8. Fort Siloso SkyWalk 

Standing as tall as 11-storeys, the Fort Siloso SkyWalk is an attraction on Sentosa for those who like taking in some fresh air and scenery. The height of the skywalk gives you the perfect view of Fort Siloso and the rest of the island — and you can enjoy it at your own pace while you stroll along the treetops. The attraction is also free, so that’s a plus! 

9. HydroDash – Floating Aqua Park 

If you’ve watched Ninja Warrior, HydroDash at Sentosa would probably kind of remind you of that — except that it’s full of floaties on water. Challenge your agility and balance on this floating water obstacle course that’s perfect for both kids and fun-loving adults! 

10. Magical Shores 

Get transported into an ethereal wonderland at Siloso Beach with Magical Shores — a light and music show that turns the sand you’re standing on into a fantastical canvas coupled with enchanting ambient music. Settle down on the sand (with a picnic mat, maybe?!), relax to the captivating view of the light show and look ahead at the mesmerising island shrouded in mist. It’s a fantastic place to just chill with friends or a date!

11. SkyHelix Sentosa 

Thrilling, scenic and fun, settle in on the highest open air ride in Singapore at SkyHelix Sentosa. Enjoy 360º scenic views around the island as the gondola slowly rotates and rises 35 metres above ground. Located at Imbiah Lookout, here’s where you can enjoy one of the prettiest views of Singapore.

12. Skyline Luge Singapore 

Get your adrenaline pumping as you race down the hilly slopes in 3-wheeled luge carts at Skyline Luge Singapore! Fueled by gravity, make it a race to the finish with your friends, family or S/O with four tracks boasting fun turns and tunnels. Better yet, if you’re here at night, you’ll also get to ride your luge through a beautiful mystical forest that lights up after sundown!

13. Greenwood Fish Market 

If you’ve been to Sydney Fish Market in Australia, you’ll know that there’s no better way to enjoy some fresh seafood than with some pristine waterfront views. At Greenwood Fish Market tucked away on Quayside Isle in Sentosa, you can enjoy tantalising sea to table seafood with the loveliest seaside views (it almost feels like you’re in another country!). 

14. Ola Beach Club

When it comes to dream tropical resort destinations, most of us would probably think of Hawaii at some point. Thanks to Ola Beach Club, we can experience that same tropical Hawaiian feeling right here at Sentosa! With water sport activities like paddleboarding and kayaking on top of delicious Tiki-inspired cocktails, it’s the perfect place for when you need a breather and just want to wind down after a long week.

15. Ocean Restaurant 

Take your adventure with the giant manta rays and diverse marine life of the SEA Aquarium to the next level at Ocean Restaurant — where you can dine in the splendour of these majestic creatures. Located within the Equarius Hotel (which also has an Ocean Suite that offers a similar experience with your stay!), the restaurant serves up mouth-watering modern European cuisine in the most out-of-this-world dining experience you’ll probably ever experience. 

16. Mykonos on the Bay 

Teleport to the gorgeous Greek city of Mykonos right from the quaint corners of Quayside isle on Sentosa with Mykonos on the Bay — a chic marina-themed Greek restaurant. Here, you’ll be able to find a myriad of Greek and Mediterranean bites and mains like Htapodaki (a char-grilled octopus dish) and Mousaka (something like an eggplant lasagna). 

17. Marrybrown 

Digging into Marrybrown fried chicken and mashed potatoes used to be one of the highlights of my Genting trips, and I always used to gripe about how I wished there was an outlet here in Singapore — until Marrybrown came to our shores on Sentosa a few years back. If you’re looking for a hearty and affordable but still indulgent meal on the island, Marrybrown is probably a safe bet! 

18. Baristart Coffee 

Hokkaido is known for their creamy and rich milk products — and that’s the very core for most of the dishes and drinks at Baristart Coffee at Sentosa. With a carefully curated menu full of Japanese-inspired goodies like adorable bear-shaped shaved ice to custard puddings, Baristart Coffee is a good option if you’re looking for a cosy cafe experience on the island. 

19. Bali on the Cove 

Get the best of both worlds at Bali on the Cove — a restaurant and retail space at Sentosa with a myriad of dishes, homeware and furniture imported directly from Bali and Java. If you’re looking to satisfy both your hunger for some retail therapy (they have gorgeous rattan furniture and more if you want to make your home a Bali dream!) and good food like soto ayam, you’ve found your place! 

20. CHI, The Spa 

For those who are seeking utmost relaxation on one of the most leisurely islands in Singapore, check out CHI, The Spa at Sentosa. The new attraction is filled with a myriad of fun things to do for people of all ages, like magical fountain shows (with lights and pyrotechnics), a record-breaking SkyJet and the best part — tantalising food trucks – and don’t worry, no crazy prices here (everything is under S$10!)

Parked around the entrance of the fountain show (in true carnival style!), the various food trucks and containers feature international bites from different regions like Japan, London, Mexico and more

Try out some English bites at Chipper Roll, Mexican fusion favourites at Taco Pau and more. If you’re more into Asian food, there’s also Bentori, where you’ll be able to get a variety of bento sets with Japanese yakitori, Thai Dee where you can get Thai noodles with some sinfully yummy fried bites, and Masala Wala for some vegetarian Indian fare.

For those feeling a bit more snackish, there’s even Mama Shop where you’ll be able to find nostalgic old-school treasures like iced gem biscuits and more.

The food options are endless, and you’ll be able to satisfy just about craving that you have!

The food trucks will operate from 10.15am to 10pm daily, with the last order being 9.30pm.

If you loved the Wings of Time fountain show from a couple of years back, you’ll also be thrilled to know that the magic is making a comeback with the Central Beach Bazaar.

In the day, you can enjoy the fountain shows (featuring songs like Walking on Sunshine, and even some NDP favourites like Home) for free with a minimum spend of S$5 at the food trucks — and they run all day so you can catch as many shows as you’d like! 

At night, the fountain shows will provide an even more immersive experience with lights and pyrotechnics. Do note that entry fees are required for the night shows, and they cost S$18. 

Right next to where the musical fountain shows take place, you’ll also find the Sentosa SkyJet — the tallest water fountain in Southeast Asia towering at 80 metres. It’s really quite a magnificent sight and makes for really gorgeous IG photos. The SkyJet will be operating from 10am to 5pm, 5.30pm to 7.40pm and 9pm to 10pm daily.

At S$58++ for a person, you can indulge in a High Tea in the Deep Sea with majestic views of Ocean Restaurant’s beautiful schools of fish, while sharks and rays gracefully glide through your peripheral vision. If you need a short getaway from the hectic bustle of Singapore, this is the high tea to treat yoself. This special festive dining experience will only be available from 8 Nov 2021 to 2 Jan 2022.

Your taste buds and sweet tooth will be pampered by the most luxurious desserts befitting of royalty. Sink your teeth into exquisite pastries including Bordelaise Canelé with Rum and Vanilla, Raisin and Pumpkin Seed Scones, and Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate Mini Tart.

For the savoury range of the High Tea in the Deep Sea, Ocean Restaurant has curated a range of umami sea-themed bites that will fit right in with your surroundings. There’s some local flair in the form of a Hiramasa Kingfish Tartare with Coconut Foam Kueh Pie Tee, while there’s also some luscious crustacean packed into a Canadian Lobster with Seaweed and Citrus Zest Pie and a rich Foie Gras Terrine with Toasted Brioche.

To wash it down, you are provided with a range of Lavazza Tierra coffees and selected teas from TWG — but fellow alcoholics would want to go for the 2-hour free-flow beverage package (S$48++ per person) for wines, champagnes, cocktails, and more.
