We’ve come across taro-flavoured treats in every shape and form, but this Orh Nee Toast we’ve been seeing all over social media has certainly piqued our interest.

Unlike your usual Kaya Butter (from S$2.90), Crunchy Peanut Butter (from S$2.90), or even Egg Mayo (from S$3.30), this fun creation sees toasted bread slathered with rich, sweet, and velvety taro paste and to top it off, a drizzle of coconut cream.

You can choose to enjoy it A La Carte (S$3.50) or as a Set (S$6.70) with two soft-boiled eggs and a standard regular-size hot drink.

There’s even the option to zhuzh it up with Crushed Peanuts for an extra S$0.20.

Drinks-wise, one can never go wrong with a Signature White Kopi (from S$2.50) or Yuan Yang (from S$2.20), but why not take your obsession with orh nee to the next level by ordering the iced Orh Nee Kopi or Teh at S$4.80, which sees the inside of the cup layered with the same creamy taro paste?

If you’ve visiting at lunchtime, don’t forget to check out the popular Hong Kong-style Scrambled Egg Rice Bowls with toppings like Spam Cubes (S$8.50), Curry Chicken (S$9.50), and Char Siew Pork Collar (S$10.50).

Otherwise, there are several other savoury hot meal sets on the menu, such as Char Siew Pork Collar Dry Noodles (S$10.50), Laksa (S$10.50), and Curry Chicken with Rice (S$9.50), all inclusive of a drink.
