Ahem, for those of you doing last-minute packing right now, we hope this helps!

1. Power banks

Yes, this is incredibly basic. But you don’t want to be the guy that rushes out of the house, travels all the way to the airport, boards the plane, then realises you forgot to bring a portable charger for your 10-day trip. 

You’ve worked hard to earn your holiday; don’t waste your first spending at your destination on unnecessary items you could have prepared prior. Also, if you’re bringing power banks, remember that you can now only bring a maximum of two on flights departing from Singapore.

They must also be placed in your carry-on baggage, and cannot be checked in at the airport. You are also not allowed to use or charge your power banks during your flight. Lastly, if you’re flying to China, only power banks with the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) mark are allowed. 

2. eSIM

This is usually the item many travellers think about last, or only when it hits them that they can’t access the Internet at their holiday destination. However, having mobile data is so important in our ever-connected world. 

Many of the services we need to access through our phone during our travels also require mobile data. So don’t leave it to the last minute; purchase an eSIM before you fly and simply activate it when you land. That’s one thing less to worry about.

3. Travel adapters 

Before heading to the country of your choice, make sure to do some research on its standard wall sockets. Then, before your trip, purchase the travel adapters you will need to plug in your chargers to those power sources.

Just like power banks, bringing along the right adapters will ensure your devices are charged up for the day. In fact, you need these to charge your power banks too! So, don’t forget to pack one for your trip, or a few if you want to be a great travel companion.

Speaking from personal experience — you never know who else on your trip might need it. 

4. Vacuum compression bags

This is a real travel hack — especially for those of you constantly struggling with luggage space. We are all too familiar with that feeling of starting a vacation with relatively light luggage, but ending with one that is bursting at the seams. 

Most of the time, this is the result of all your used clothes packed into plastic bags, plus all the goodies and souvenirs you got during the trip. Vacuum compression bags (paired with good packing skills) are a lifesaver that helps to alleviate this issue.

These bags usually come with a pump that sucks out all excess air, ensuring that your packed clothes take up as little volume as possible. They come in different sizes and can also be purchased at quite an affordable cost, depending on where you buy them from.

5. The right clothing

This one’s a given, and most of you are probably over-prepared in this department. But it never hurts to have a friendly reminder, right? If you’re heading somewhere cold, pack something warm. And if you’re heading somewhere warm, pack something cooling.

Singaporean guys, this is your time to shine with your UNIQLO wardrobe too. Show them the power of AIRism and HEATTECH. Just make sure you grab the right piece for the right climate. And bringing along a windbreaker or waterproof jacket will never be a bad choice. 

6. Camera (with sufficient storage)

What’s a holiday if you can’t keep the memories? If you didn’t take a photo, did it really happen? For those of you who own a camera, now is the time to sharpen those photography skills and take vibey pictures of your trip and of your friends.

But even if you don’t have a dedicated camera, we all have cameras in our pockets these days. Yes, I am talking about your iPhones and your Samsung Galaxies. Smartphone cameras have come a long way since their initial inception. 

With the right lighting and editing, photos taken on your phone can even compare to shots taken on digital cameras. The most important thing, no matter which you use, is to make sure you clear up space for all the new photos you’re going to take.

You don’t want to have to stand in the middle of a public space, clearing your iPhone storage, just so you can continue taking photos of the scenery in front of you (speaking from personal experience again).

7. Headphones

This seems like common sense, but we’ve all left home without our headphones or earbuds before. Going on a train ride without music is already a pain sometimes, but imagine a long flight where you can’t tune out of your surroundings just because you forgot to bring along your audio devices.

If you’re someone who plans to listen to music or watch your downloaded Netflix shows on the plane, remember to pack your in-ears or headsets!

8. Small bag (to keep valuables close)

No matter where you’re travelling to, and for how long, one thing you will always need is a small bag. This could come in the form of a crossbody bag, a sling bag, or even a tiny backpack. 

Having one allows you to navigate the airport and explore your destination comfortably without extra weight, while still carrying your passport, boarding passes, cash, and other valuables safely.

If you can, definitely invest in an anti-theft bag, which will usually feature cut-resistant fabric and lockable zippers.

Jeju Island: Jeju Cherry Blossom Festival

The island on which the K-Drama When Life Gives You Tangerines is based, Jeju Island, is now an island of light pink cherry blossoms. At its annual Jeju Cherry Blossom Festival, the event stretches across Jeonnong-ro, the entrance to Jeju National University, and Jangjeon-ri, Aewol-eup.

Start your journey at Jeonnong-ro, a famous cherry blossom street that has nurtured a stunning tunnel of century-old royal cherry blossom trees. As the path continues, the entrance to Jeju National University greets you with more cherry trees that drape the pavements to enjoy the falling petals.

The last stop, Jangjeon-ri, is a beautiful village where not only tourists visit, but locals visiting just to witness Jeju’s spring. The Jangjeon-ri Cherry Blossom Road, especially, is what takes sightseers’ breaths away during day and night. 

Additionally, various booths are lined up on this street, comprising performances, hands-on activities, and flea markets under the dancing cherry blossoms. 

Busan: Namcheon-dong Cherry Blossom Street

Namcheon-dong is one of the representative cherry blossom streets in Busan, with the Namcheon-dong Cherry Blossom Street as a popular landmark among tourists. But on the street from Samick Beach Apartment to Gwangalli Beach, is a hidden lane to enjoy just as many cherry blossoms. 

If you’re looking to avoid the tourist crowd, then this street connecting Samick Beach Apartment to Gwangalli Beach is the place to be. However, do be considerate of the apartment residents during your visit! 

Another famous park known as a sanctuary for migrating birds, Samnak Eco Park consists of various wildflower gardens, bicycle paths, walking trails, and auto campgrounds. During the spring, more than 3000 cherry trees planted along the Nakdonggang Riverside form a natural flower tunnel, making it an unforgettable walk in the park.

Samnak Eco Park is also the largest among Nakdonggang River’s four riverside parks, stretching up to 7km (meaning just as many cherry blossoms)! 

Daegu: Ayang Gicha Trail

Visit the railroad bridging history and modern charm at the Ayang Gicha Trail. Once an old railroad trail, the road has now become a vibrant tourist attraction. Cultivating a landscape of vibrant cherry blossoms adorning its bridge, this view is sure to capture the hearts of both nature lovers and photographers. 

As you stroll along its natural path, discover its observatory offering panoramic views, engaging exhibitions, and a charming cafe. After taking in the view, nearby department stores, restaurants, and attractions like Shinsegae, Seomun Market, and the Ayang Art Centre await!

Daejeon: Daecheongho Cherry Blossom Road 

A scenic road spanning a whopping 26.6km, Daecheongho Cherry Blossom Road borders Daecheong Lake in Dajeon. This blossom road is also known as one of the area’s longest cherry blossom trails.

Offering a dense shade of cherry trees and picturesque lake views, Daecheongho Cherry Blossom Road spans from Dong-gu (Daejeon) towards Hoenam-myeon (Boeun-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do), wrapping around Daecheongho Lake.

A cherry blossom festival in Daejeon will also take place on 4 April 2026 at the Currency Museum in Yuseong District, Daejeon. The festival will feature a variety of hands-on programs, including face painting, balloon art, and magic performances. 

A flea market will also be held from 1pm to 4pm on the day of the event, offering secondhand items such as clothing and toys. 

Incheon: Incheon Grand Park 

Incheon Grand Park is the most family-friendly and the only large-scale natural green park in the region. Lined with countless 40-year-old King Cherries over the distance of 1.5km, the park is already blushing! 

Bring a blanket for a picnic at the park, and enjoy gazing at the blooming petals with your loved ones. Cherry blossoms in the Incheon Grand Park are also lined along its connecting street with Mansu-dong, along Jangsucheon Stream which is also dotted with forsythias during the cherry blossom season.

Seoul: Yeouido Hangang Park

Situated as the heart of Seoul’s downtown, Yeouido Hangang Park is easily accessible to view the cherry blossoms, and be part of the celebrations. 

The Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival in particular—features over 1600 cherry blossom trees, street performances, and night illuminations—offering a free and scenic experience along the Han River. 

Apart from viewing the cherry trees, be sure to try Yeouido Hangang Park’s different facilities, including rentable bicycles, picnic areas, food trucks, and more. 

Gwangju: Sajik Park

An eminent cultural site, Sajik Park, is established as a favourite rest area for Gwangju citizens. Landscaped with various trees and flower beds, the park blooms pink and white with cherry blossoms every mid-April. 

Nestled in the heart of Gwangju, the Sajik Park Observatory is another hidden gem that promises an unforgettable view. One of the only areas to get a panoramic view of Gwangju, this observatory offers a vantage point to capture the city, and serve as a safe haven from the hustle as you soak in the scenery.

Ulsan: Gunggeorang Park 

In the smallest metropolitan city of South Korea, Gunggeorang Park prides itself on being the representative cherry blossom festival attraction in Ulsan. 

Gunggeorang is actually a past byname of Mugeocheon River, dating back many ages ago, as it combines Gung (a river bend shaped like a bow) and Georang (a Gyeongsang-do dialect term for a stream or downtown)—thus gaining a park named after its iconic nickname. 

With about 400 cherry trees on the 2.5km cherry blossom street along Mugeocheon River, Gunggeorang Park presents the Gunggeorang Cherry Blossom Festival every year. Highlight activities from this event typically comprise concerts, walkathons, food markets, and prize drawings.

Gyeongju: Bomunho Lake 

Unlike other cities or towns where cherry trees are only found in certain areas, cherry blossoms are everywhere in Gyeongju. Combining lush trees reflected in the waters of Bomunho Lake, the view is indescribably peaceful. 

Built on the site of an old fortress in Myeonghwalsan Mountain, Bomunho Lake is a man-made lake. Containing many leisure facilities and parks around the lake, this body of water has earned its popularity among bikers and walkers.

Along the lake, a long walking trail accompanied by dense cherry trees becomes a hotspot in April. While cherry blossoms bloom, the park transforms into a pink snow field, magically bringing a smile to anyone who walks on it.

Along the lake shore, Bomun Open Air Stage hosts traditional Korean music performances every day from April to January, with free performances at that! 

Gangneung: Gyeongpoho Lake

Gyeongpoho Lake is one of Gangneung’s most iconic destinations, especially when cherry blossoms are in full bloom. During the spring, the Gyeongpo Cherry Blossom Festival brings a season of fun and community under the dancing trees.

Throughout the festival, stroll along scenic trails lined with cherry blossom trees, admire Gyeongpoho Lake’s illumination during the night, and enjoy a series of hands-on experiences. On-site programs include, a flea market, and a local singing contest, making spring warmer than ever.

The Evolution of Travel pop-up exhibition is back by popular demand at Changi Experience Studio! Step into the fascinating world of Singapore’s evolving travel technology and discover how flying has changed over the years. 

Trace the evolution of air travel through four fascinating stories of how we book our flights, how airports became destinations, Singapore’s growth as a global air hub, and the intriguing world of in-flight meals.

Highlights of the exhibition feature revisiting iconic scenes of Changi Airport in the 1980s, viewing the World Time Chart, and displays of past to present in-flight meals. 

The Evolution of Travel exhibition will run until 31 March 2026, and admission requires a Changi Experience Studio ticket. 

Tickets to the Changi Experience Studio start from S$19.80 per adult, and S$14.80 for children five to 12 years old, as well as the elderly aged 60 and above. All tickets also include access to the pop-up exhibition.

6. Try wild meat at The Carnivore Restaurant

For adventurous eaters, The Carnivore Restaurant is an iconic dining destination known for its all-you-can-eat meat experience. Its most famous location is in Nairobi, Kenya, with a second location in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Serving Masaai spears with at least 15 types of meats, offering beef, pork, lamb, and chicken, but also unusual choices like crocodile, venison, ostrich, and more. Adventure 

For our adventurous folks, Cape Town is filled with daredevil activities and thrilling experiences. Highlight spots from Cape Town include Table Mountain, The Lion’s Head, and the Atlantis Dunes. 

Known for its stunning overhead 360º view of the Cape Peninsula, seasoned hikers can challenge themselves to Table Mountain’s various trails—especially the Traverse of the Gods. Alternatively, soar above Cape Town by paragliding from the peak of the Lion’s Head, which stands 669 metres above sea level. A little farther out than Cape Central, you can also have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to ride across the Atlantis Dunes by booking an ATV quad bike tour. 

Culture 

Following the train of adventure, culture enthusiasts are in for a ride when visiting Pretoria. Notable historic sites in the city include the Voortrekker Monument, Freedom Park Heritage Site, and Melrose House Museum. 

The Voortrekker Monument was raised to commemorate the Boer leaders, now known as Voortrekkers, who left the Cape Colony and laid the foundation for South Africa today. The Freedom Park Heritage Site, on the other hand, was created in remembrance of the South Africans who fought to end formal apartheid. Another significant site in South African history, the Melrose House Museum, contains the room and table on which the Treaty of Vereeniging (which ended the Second Boer War) was signed.

Onto the more picturesque side of travelling, Sutherland is home to an iconic night sky landmark, the Sutherland Planetarium.

Located in the centre of Sutherland en route to the Southern African Large Telescope, Sutherland Planetarium offers a variety of full-dome 3D shows and evening stargazing sessions.

Shopping 

Lastly, for those whose highlight of every holiday is exploring new shopping malls (including premium outlets), Johannesburg is the place to be. 

Full of gems to shop, renowned spaces include Sandton City, Fourways Mall, and The Zone @ Rosebank. 

Defining Johannesburg’s luxury scene, Sandton City is home to over 380 luxury retail brands and is even referred to as the richest square mile in Africa. Fourways Mall, on the contrary, takes the cake as the largest shopping mall in South Africa—with 400 stores, an entertainment area comprising movie theatres and mini golf courses, and so much more. As Universal Studios Japan is building on its prior success of bringing various characters to life, the world of Pokémon is no longer an exception. Following its debut in Japan, Universal Destinations & Experiences will deliver unique Pokémon experiences in new and enriching ways across the amusement park for all fans to enjoy. 

As expressed by the General Manager of Universal Studios Japan, this global project will transcend traditional entertainment and embody the very spirit of NO LIMIT!

Past collaborations between the two have shown events like the NO LIMIT! Parade and NO LIMIT! Countdown to celebrate the start of 2026. During the NO LIMIT! fiestas, notable highlights included Pokémon dressed in park-exclusive costumes, themed water parades, and Pokémon parties.

Not to mention, these events were only held for a month, so imagine what more will be seen when the more permanent Universal Studios’ Pokémon Experience opens.  

Prior to this announcement, Universal Studios Japan had also unveiled their Universal Cool Japan 2026 line-up, comprising immersive attractions surrounding cult-favourite animations. Starting 30 January 2026, the park will spotlight zones such as Detective Conan World, JUJUTSU KAISEN: The Real 4-D, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Peril at the Masquerade, and MONSTER HUNTER WILDS: Wudwud Feast. 

It seems that with this collaboration, not only will amusement parks in Japan be an even more fruitful visit during the spring, but so will Singapore in due time!

2. Atlas Beach Fest – Canggu 

The biggest beach club and super club in Southeast Asia is none other than Atlas Beach Club in Canggu, Bali. Its prestige status is earned through its diverse spaces not available at other beach clubs, such as multiple restaurants, bars, fitness activities, and VIP only access.  

For the minimum spend, it ranges between Rp150,000 to Rp200,000 (≈S$11.42 to S$15.27) for the sunbeds. If you’re lucky, you might even catch international DJs like Yellow Claw, Central Cee, and more. For tickets, you can get them ahead of time here.

3. Mano Beach House – Seminyak 

For those who’re planning to have the majority of your Bali itinerary in Seminyak, here’s a beach club that’s conveniently in the area — Mano Beach House. While it may be on the smaller end as compared to Atlas Beach Fest and The Lawn, it’s less crowded, which allows you and your friends to secure a seat more easily. 

The food and drinks are on the milder side; however, the views and comfort remain top-tier at this beach club. The only catch is that there’s a minimum spend of Rp200,000 (≈S$15.26) for a bean bag, and Rp400,000 (≈S$30.51) for a day bed.

4. Mari Beach Club – Canggu 

Interestingly, we found a beach club located between Seminyak and Canggu, directly on Batu Belig Beach. It’s called Mari Beach Club, which offers an up-close seafront view like no other. Swimming is not recommended due to strong currents, although adventurous visitors can try surfing and face the waves head-on. 

Unlike Mano Beach House, Mari Beach Club is significantly larger, featuring two swimming pools, an outdoor lounging area, restaurants, and more. The catch is that a minimum spend is required to secure a seat — Rp150,000 (≈S$11.54) for a bar stool, or a table at Rp700,000 (≈S$53.44) for two people.

5. Ohana’s Beach Club – Nusa Lembongan 

While other beach clubs are accessible by Grab Car or Bike, it’s not the case for beach clubs in Nusa Lembongan. To visit Ohana’s Beach Club, you’ll need to take a short boat ride from Bali (trust us, it’s worth it). 

Ohana’s offers a range of seating options, a bar, a restaurant, a children’s playground, two swimming pools, and more. Similar to other Bali beach clubs, there’s also a minimum spend requirement — a single sunbed costs Rp200,000 (≈S$15.27), while a daybed for four is Rp400,000 (≈S$30.54). The minimum spend resets every three hours, so you’d need to keep spending if you’re planning to stay all day.

Another lesser-known, smaller beach club located in Nusa Lemongan is Sandy Bay Beach Club. While it doesn’t offer overnight lodging like Ohana’s Beach Resort, it does give you unrestricted views of the tourist attraction — Devil’s Tears. 

The location of this resort guarantees you breathtakingly gorgeous sunset views every single day. The minimum spend requirement is also on the lower end, priced from Rp100,000 to Rp200,000 (≈S$7.63 to S$15.27) per person.

So far, all our beach club recommendations have been near beachfronts. What if we tell you that there is a beach club located on the very edge of a cliff? Meet Ulu Cliffhouse, located at Uluwatu, where you’ll need to embark on a steep journey to get to. 

Once you make it to the top, the panoramic, unrestricted views of the ocean will be unforgettable. Alas, every pretty view comes with a price — on weekdays, the minimum spend for a daybed or sunbed is Rp700,000 (≈S$53.44) per bed. For weekends, it’s Rp1,200,000 (≈S$91.61) per bed.

Another beach club on a cliff is Savaya Bali, iconically known for its nightlife entertainment scene — in 2025 alone, it has hosted numerous international DJs, including Peggy Gou, Michael Bibi, Fred Again, and more. 

Many would brave the long drive up to Savaya Bali for its club scene. However, for their beach club facilities, you’re required to fill out a form or reach out via WhatsApp to make a reservation. Due to its prestigious status and magnificent views, there are also entrance fees which range from Rp200,000 to Rp600,000 (≈S$11.44 to S$45.75) per guest. 

Across our recommendations, Savaya Bali also has the highest minimum spend, starting from Rp3,000,000 (≈S$229.03) (in addition to the entrance fees).

If Uluwatu is a little too far for you and you’d prefer somewhere closer to Ubud, consider taking a trip to Jimbaran instead and visiting Kubu Beach Club at AYANA Resort. 

While they’re known for their five-star resort, the private beach club delivers exactly what you’d expect—localised food and drinks, unrestricted views, and undisturbed daybeds. As it’s a private beach club, you’ll need to check in as a resort guest to access the full facilities. Resort guests enjoy full access with no minimum spend, allowing you to relax and enjoy your stay freely.

Another Jimbaran hotspot we’ve discovered is Sundara Bali Beach Club. Located within Four Seasons Resort Bali, this beach club holds the record for having the longest beachfront pool at 57 metres long.

Not in the mood to get wet? Don’t worry, as there are beachfront cabanas, daybeds, sundecks, and more — the perfect spots for you to cosy up and settle in with friends. In terms of the minimum spend, it falls on the higher end at Rp1,700,000 (≈S$129.78) per person.

There’s the misconception that Nusa Dua is luxurious and lacks Balinese culture. However, Reef Beach Club beats the allegations by being easily accessible to all. Unlike other beach clubs in Bali, they don’t charge entrance fees or require any minimum spend. 

The best part? It’s family-friendly with watersport activities and live entertainment available for all to enjoy. However, due to the lack of minimum spend, there aren’t any VIP privileges available.

In case you’re unable to secure a reservation at Reef Beach Club, you can consider Manarai Beach Club, which is also located in Nusa Dua. Similar to the previous beach club recommendations, Manarai Beach Club is managed by The Sofitel Nusa Dua — so you can expect top-tier, luxe amenities for that glamorous experience. 

It houses two pools, a restaurant, a wine shop, and bar facilities. Similar to Reef Beach Club, Manarai Beach Club doesn’t charge their guests for entrance fees or require any minimum spend.

El Kabron Cliff Club is next on the list, as it’s conveniently located in Uluwatu and near Bingin Beach. If Uluwatu beach clubs are known for their cliffside views, El Kabron Cliff Club differs as it’s directly near the beachfront. 

Expect to explore their plentiful amenities, such as restaurants, daybeds, swimming pools, and more. Before you lock in your booking with El Kabron, make sure to be prepared for their minimum spend since it varies, ranging from Rp400,000 (≈S$30.50) (no pool access) to Rp3,000,000 (≈S$229.03 (with pool access) per person.

Last but not least, Luna Beach Club. It was heavily hyped up as being one of the newest beach clubs, especially since it’s the only established beach club in Tabanan. 

Similar to Atlas Beach Club, Luna Beach Club also offers multiple areas for guests to venture — Utopia Cave Club, Luna Beer Garden, Restaurant 360, and Gardenia Pods. Since they’re the only beach club in the area, it’s expected that the minimum spend falls on the higher end. 

A single sunbed goes for Rp2,000,000 (≈S$152.69) while a huge daybed is Rp12,000,000 (≈S$916.12)—spacious enough for up to 12 people.
