Kingfisher Wetlands can be found right next to the Satay by the Bay foodcourt, and will be a designated spot for bird-watchers, nature photographers, and just about anyone and everyone looking for a leisurely time amongst nature.

There are now two streams that run under a footpath, which were created to increase the level of oxygen in the water, according to the designer of the attraction, Ms Lee Ping Ping. The streams also allow smaller species of wildlife to thrive, which otherwise face predators in the other surrounding bodies of water.

Zone 1 (Natural Rock Pool & Main Cascades)

Zone 2A & 2B (Kingfisher Wetlands Cascades: Meandering cascades linking Kingfisher Lake & Lotus Pond)

Zone 3 (Wildlife Lookout)

Out of 40 migratory bird species spotted in Singapore, 16 of them are known to have visited the Kingfisher Wetlands at some point. If you’re lucky, you might also get a peek of the rarer Lesser Whistling Ducks, White-breasted Waterhen, as well as the Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker.
