You can get your hands on these limited-edition creations starting from 5 August 2021, at all McDonald’s outlets islandwide and via Delivery on 5 August 2021.

More importantly, it comes out just in time for National Day.

NDP might be postponed but you can still celebrate with a party of homely flavours in your mouth.

This special burger was made in special collaboration with local Mediacorp Artiste Ben Yeo to create a truly Singapore burger. Ben is a lover of local flavours — and obviously chicken rice — so the McDonald’s Crispy Chicken Burger was born.

It features a juicy, crispy chicken patty that comes with a trio of sauces synonymous with Hainanese Chicken Rice — ginger sauce, garlic chilli sauce and dark sweet sauce.

McDonald’s packs a sachet of the dark sweet sauce separately, so you can drizzle over Crispy “Hainanese Chicken” Burger to your liking — much like real chicken rice.

Maybe we’d start singing “this is homeeee… truly” after gobbling down one of these unmistakably Singaporean burgers.

Besides the Crispy “Hainanese Chicken” Burger, McDonald’s will also be rolling out a local-inspired beverage, a Kopi Frappe (S$4.30/S$4.70).

If Chicken Rice is the king of hawker foods, then Kopi is the queen of hawker drinks. That’s why it only makes sense to add the familiar aroma of local Kopi into the popular McCafe coffee drink.

You get to quench your thirst with the best of both worlds — robust Kopi fragrance and icy smoothness.

Other than the new Crispy “Hainanese Chicken” Burger and Kopi Frappe, McDonald’s will also be bringing back some of Singapore’s favourite specials for National Day.

One very welcome return is definitely the crunchy Crisscut Fries (S$3.50/S$3.80), which you can also substitute for your normal fries with a S$0.30 top-up.

The other is a crispy Banana Pie (S$1.40), which could provide a refreshing after-meal fruitiness to clear away the heaviness of McDonald’s Crispy “Hainanese Chicken” Burger.

If you’re a fan of McDonald’s and local hawker food, why not get one of these babies for National Day? After all, they hit out of the park with the Nasi Lemak burger before, this could be yet another home run.
