]]> This year, the various F&B in Singapore really put their creative juices to the test and churned out all manners of cool and wacky creations for National Day, from milo dinosaur cream puffs to teh tarik milkshakes.

But you haven’t seen anything yet until you see Ben & Jerry’s newest creation for National Day — prata cones. Really special right? This unique item will be only available from 16 August 2021 to 5 September 2021, only at their VivoCity scoop shop.

For this special, you get to enjoy the soft prata cones with 2 scoops of indulgent Ben & Jerry flavours — your choice. To give it even more local flair, they cap it with some Teh Tarik whipped cream to give it some of that fragrant punch.

The Prata Cone combo will be available for S$12.90. In comparison, a double scoop in a waffle bowl costs around S$12, so it’s actually not too crazy of a price difference.

Ok, adding Ben & Jerry ice cream to cones made out of prata may sound weird to some but dessert prata has been a thing in Singapore for a while. You can already find Ice Cream Prata at the famous Roti Prata House at Upper Thomson Road.

Besides, crepes with ice cream is a thing too even if the texture is slightly different.

These prata cones aren’t the first time Ben & Jerry’s has put a local twist to their ice creams — they’ve done something similar back in 2018.

Ben & Jerry’s were serving ice cream scoops in the ultimate Singaporean way at their “Scoopitiam” concept at Lau Pa Sat, using our iconic rainbow bread and wafers.

On a side note, Ben & Jerry’s fans may know of their legendary Free Cone Day held every year on April 18 where they give out free cones.

2021 free scoop days plans had to be put on hold due to the unfortunate global pandemic but watch out for news because their announcement said that they’re planning for it later in the year if possible!
