Here’s one hailing from Busan, South Korea, to check out during your next trip across the causeway — Songjeong Corndog & O’Nut (also known as O’Nut Korean Cafe).

The cafe is a collaboration between two separate concepts, Songjeong Corndog, a Korean street food chain that first started out as a small store in front of Songjeong Beach in Busan, and O’Nu, an artisanal cafe selling donuts and coffee.

Although we’re not sure whether they’ll ever open up an outlet in Singapore (fingers crossed!), the cafe is pretty conveniently located at Sunway Boulevard 88 in Sunway City Iskandar Puteri, a hotspot for Korean restaurants and eateries — it’s just a 20-minute drive from Tuas Checkpoint.

Look no further than the Baked Donuts, all of which are priced at S$4.88 (RM17) and come in crowd-pleasing flavours like Oreo, Creme Brulee, Matcha Crunch, Marshmallow Choco Chip, and Tiramisu.

The donuts are also served on sticks, so you can eat them like popsicles without getting your hands dirty.

Pair your donuts with a selection of savoury street eats like Tteokbokki (S$5.17, RM18), Big So-Tteok (S$5.17, RM18), and most notably, Korean-style Corn Dogs.

Instead of sticking to the signature Songjeong (S$4.31, RM15) or Mozzarella (S$5.17, RM18) corn dogs, why not switch it up with the Thin Potatoes (S$5.46, RM19), Rice-Cake (S$4.31, RM15), or even the Spicy Ramen (S$5.17, RM18), coated in crunchy ramen bits and a spicy seasoning?

If you’re not a fan of the regular corn dog batter, go for the Pastry Corn Dog (S$5.17, RM18) wrapped in pastry dough, that’s kinda like the pretzel dog from Auntie Anne’s.

Afterwards, feel free to jazz up your corn dog of choice with sauces ranging from the usual Ketchup and Sweet Chilli to Green Pepper Mayonnaise, Spicy Hot Sauce, and even Bburinkle seasoning — the kind BHC Chicken is famous for.

Drinks-wise, they’ve got Korean cafe classics like Einspanner, Strawberry Latte (S$5.17, RM18), and an adorable IG-worthy Ice Tea with Coffee Bear (S$3.45, RM12), alongside a Camellia (S$5.17, RM18) series available in the form of Milk, Ade (soda), or a Latte.

Songjeong Corndog & O’Nut is also a pet-friendly cafe, so there’s no reason for pet owners not to swing by with their furry friends.
