It’s a great spot to grab some pastries and coffee to chill while going on a weekend cafe-hopping trip since it’s located in the popular cafe hotspot of Bendemeer so you can add it to an itinerary along with all the ice cream and gorgeous brunch spots in the hood. Currently, they’re in their soft launch but will officially open on 11 Dec 2021.

The decor here at La Levain is rather simple, with a minimalistic getup comprising mainly of industrial greys and warm wooden tones for a cosy vibe.

Pastries are obviously the star at La Levain — in fact, you’d find such a crazy selection of pastries that you might get dizzy from choosing. We’re talking over 50 varieties on display, ranging from flaky croissants and cruffins to dense, fluffy muffins.

If you’re a fan of creative flavours, then you’d have to get your hands on some of their intriguing croissant creations. There’s the Bo Bo Cha Cha Croissant (S$6.50) that takes inspiration from the local dessert, stuffing the flaky pastry full of yam, coconut mochi, and sweet potato.

Another curious item on La Levain’s menu is the Hojicha Mochi Croissant (S$6.80) where the cavity is filled up with a chewy hojicha “mochi” — god for fans of the trending mochi bread. If you want to try all their best goodies, then you can also get one of their Signature Boxes (S$38) or Classic Boxes (S$32.80) to satisfy all those cravings all at once.

Alternatively, you can get your flaky viennoiseries in a muffin shape by snagging one of their cruffins that come in a variety of flavours including earthy Matcha (S$4.80), rich “Ferrero Rocher” Nutella (S$4.80) and Speculoos (S$5.20) for those who can’t get enough of that fragrant cookie butter.

La Levain mostly focuses on their viennoiseries but they also have less flaky options available if you’re not a fan such as the Double Chocolate Muffin (S$3) for chocolate lovers and scones such as English Cranberry & Raisin Scones (S$2.90) for the classic English flavour.
