With their first 2 outlets in the East and West of Singapore at Changi City Point and Jurong Point respectively the popular bakery MuYoo is now foraying into the North opening at Yishun.

One of the few things that most people wouldn’t notice is actually a huge Instagram trend now is this — bread. Yeap, we’re not talking about fancy sourdough or anything, just good ol’ bakery-style buns, with the IG-worthy cross-section shots of places like MuYoo being exceptional hits.

So if you’re living in the North and love bread, it might be worth a trip down to Yishun to snag some of MuYoo’s signature Black Sesame Mochi Bread (S$2.80).

This little parcel of goodness has everything you’d want in a mochi bread — a tantalising cross-section that stretches beautifully when pulled apart, fluffy bread, and a deluge of fragrant black sesame.

So not only do you get an enjoyable mix of textures but it’s also a treat that packs plenty of flavour with all that overflowing black sesame eye candy.

If you’re not a fan of black sesame but don’t want to head all the way down to Yishun without snagging one of MuYoo’s IG-famous mochi buns, you can also get other flavours like the Peanut Butter Mochi (S$2.80) or Choc Banana QQ (S$2.80).

Like their black sesame cousin, these also just flood out with the most beautiful thick fillings you’d want in a bun.

For those who like savoury buns, try the Curry Egg Bun (S$2) that is loaded up with rich aromatic curry and delightful chunks of potato and egg. And their Yishun outlet isn’t the only new thing, because MuYoo also has an intriguing new Sweet Potato Cheese (S$2.70) that mixes sweet potato with cheddar.

These might tickle your fancy more if you prefer a mix of both savoury and sweet in your buns, adding a bit more oomph and doesn’t become as cloying as some of their mochi cousins.

MuYoo also has more typical bread if you’re not one to go crazy for those IG-worthy overflowing cross-sections. For a simple breakfast carb to get you ready for the day, you can also grab one of their hearty loaves that include the Mini Ham Cheese Loaf ($4.20) as their Mini Taiwan Pumpkin Loaf ($4).
