<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I don’t know about you but I love me some good Korean fried chicken. PSA to all who enjoy <em>chimaek,</em> there’s a new hawker stall in town that serves some spicy and saucy wings that pair perfectly well with your pint of beer. Located in <a href="https://confirmgood.com/post/one-punggol-town-hub/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>One Punggol Hawker Centre</strong></a>, <strong>Phat Jack SG </strong>promises to be finger-licking good <em>(oops, sorry KFC)</em>.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Run by a <a href="https://confirmgood.com/post/emart24-singapore/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Korean</a> national living in Singapore, the hawker stall is best known for its <strong>Yangnyeom Korean Fried Chicken (from S$6.80)</strong>. The battered chicken is fried to a golden crisp before being gloriously glazed in a sweet and spicy sauce. The sauce does pack quite a punch but thankfully the sweetness makes it more palatable and bearable — although those with a low spice tolerance will probably beg to differ.&nbsp;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/326795247_893482101797924_582301776327342424_n.jpeg" alt="" class="wp-image-56545" width="800" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/326795247_893482101797924_582301776327342424_n.jpeg 1536w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/326795247_893482101797924_582301776327342424_n-225x300.jpeg 225w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/326795247_893482101797924_582301776327342424_n-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/326795247_893482101797924_582301776327342424_n-1152x1536.jpeg 1152w" sizes="(max-width: 1536px) 100vw, 1536px" /><figcaption>Photo: Don Leow/facebook</figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If the spicy chicken wings are too hot for you to handle, then you can opt for the non-spicy <strong>Soy Garlic</strong>&nbsp;option, which comes dressed in a sweet-savoury and garlicky sauce. But of course, when it comes to chowing down on fried chicken, why settle for one when you can have both? The <em>banban </em>(or half-half) option lets you enjoy the best of both worlds.&nbsp;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/322378607_862738885045935_2308895477963564410_n.jpeg" alt="Phat Jack SG" class="wp-image-56560" width="800" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/322378607_862738885045935_2308895477963564410_n.jpeg 1440w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/322378607_862738885045935_2308895477963564410_n-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/322378607_862738885045935_2308895477963564410_n-1024x1024.jpeg 1024w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/322378607_862738885045935_2308895477963564410_n-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/322378607_862738885045935_2308895477963564410_n-768x768.jpeg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px" /><figcaption>Photo: @stoltennheim/instagram</figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Korean fried chicken isn&#8217;t the only item on the menu here. Phat Jack SG also serves some <em>thicc </em>and juicy <a href="https://confirmgood.com/post/best-gourmet-burgers-singapore/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">burgers</a> which come with a side of shoestring fries. For instance, the <strong>Beef Bulgogi Burger (S$7.80) </strong>comprises caramelised onions, fresh lettuce, house-made mayonnaise, and a bulgogi-marinated beef patty.&nbsp;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/323555551_543986294352746_2845302161223861233_n.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-56551" width="800" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/323555551_543986294352746_2845302161223861233_n.jpg 640w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/323555551_543986294352746_2845302161223861233_n-300x300.jpg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/323555551_543986294352746_2845302161223861233_n-150x150.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /><figcaption>Photo: @phatjack.sg/instagram</figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For spice-seekers, Phat Jack’s best-selling <strong>Gochujang Fried Chicken Burger (S$7.20)</strong> is the one for you. The burger features a chunky fried chicken patty drenched in Phat Jack’s signature spicy <em>gochujang </em>sauce, alongside with house-made cabbage slaw for extra crunch.&nbsp;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img decoding="async" src="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/323690689_848289409623331_6545675373350529158_n-1.jpg" alt="Phat Jack SG " class="wp-image-56548" width="800" srcset="https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/323690689_848289409623331_6545675373350529158_n-1.jpg 640w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/323690689_848289409623331_6545675373350529158_n-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https://confirmgood.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/323690689_848289409623331_6545675373350529158_n-1-150x150.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /><figcaption>Photo: @phatjack.sg/instagram</figcaption></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The <strong>Oyster Mushroom Beef Burger (S$8.60) </strong>is another crowd favourite. Sandwiched between two sesame burger buns are king oyster mushrooms glazed in teriyaki sauce, caramelised onions, Korean daikon, melted cheese, and a hefty beef patty. A splash of the signature spicy <em>yangnyeom </em>sauce is added as a finishing touch to the burger. All these burgers are best enjoyed alongside light snacks like <strong>Mozzarella cheese sticks</strong> and <strong>Cheese fries.&nbsp;</strong></p>
