As Punggol continues to see additions to their landscape, such as Northshore Plaza, the excitement extends with Punggol Town Hub, which has since been unveiled as One Punggol. At 80% completion at the time of writing, there’s every reason for Northeast residents get excited about their new facility. Here’s a quick look at the new space:
Connection to Waterway Point & Punggol MRT

The integrated hub will be connected to Punggol MRT via Waterway Point mall, Punggol Waterway Park, Punggol Town Square, and residential blocks by walking paths.
“The proposed Punggol Town Hub blends the nostalgic notes of the kampung with its modern vision; bringing people together to the new ‘Heart of Punggol’ and promoting social cohesion across generations,” writes DP Architects, architects of the Punggol hub.
700-seater hawker centre

As with all new spaces in Singapore, the question of the hour is — what’s there to eat in the area? With a 700-seater hawker centre offering local favourites like laksa and nasi padang, you won’t fall short on options here.
Rooftop garden

Apart from catching amazing sunset or sunrise views from the Sun Deck and Sky Deck, there are also BBQ pits located along the decks for your party needs.

5-storey library

Spanning across the area of five floors, One Punggol’s library is set to have any kind of material you seek. It even has inclusive features for the differently-abled such as ramps, to make the space comfortable for anyone and everybody.
Sports arenas

In the multi purpose hall on the fifth floor, there are four badminton courts, a futsal court, and a basketball court, which will come in handy for those looking to cultivate or upkeep an active lifestyle. Also, the 600 seats are retractable in the occasion of performances and ceremonies, making the space extremely versatile.
Healthcare facilities

Facilities such as a blood collection centre, kidney dialysis centre, and senior care centre can also be found here — so residents don’t have to travel too far for their healthcare needs.
80% completed

It has been reported that the hub is around 80 per cent completed, and Minister Teo Chee Hean also announced that it would open in mid-2022.
