Get whisked away to the Victorian era with your furkid at this aesthetic pet-friendly cafe that features specialty teas in crystal decanters, afternoon tea & more

This one is for the paw-rents who are constantly on the lookout for indoor pet-friendly spaces! While there are a good number of restaurants and cafés in Singapore that allow you to dine with your furkids, the space for pets tends to be limited to alfresco dining areas. Coupled with the scorching heat, it is one of the main reasons why I prefer not to bring my doggo along when I go out.

However, you can get the best of both worlds at A Beautiful Day Café Tearoom, which features a beautifully decorated (air-conditioned) interior complete with plush furniture that also happens to be pet-friendly. Formerly known as A Beautiful Day at Changi City Point, the owners behind the cafe have since relocated to Park Place Residences (opposite PLQ Mall) with a revamped menu.

Opened in late 2022, the cafe is decked out with floral wallpaper, chandeliers, rustic wooden bookshelves, vintage carpets and more, exuding an overall charming vibe.  Imagine sitting in one of the magnificent armchairs as you sip on tea — an experience guaranteed to take you back in time.

The unique running theme throughout the cafe is “Victorian meets Chinoiserie”, a European take on Chinese styles. Think fine Chinese tea in whisky decanters, alongside drinks like coffTEA, which is exactly what the name suggests — a blend of local specialty coffee and tea leaves.

With one of the largest beverage collections around, you can expect to be utterly spoilt for choice. Apart from their signature CoffTEAs, look out for other aesthetically-pleasing drink options like Wu Yi Da Hong Pao Macchiato (S$4.50), Kiwi Jasmine Green Tea (S$9.90), and more.

Although the menu tends to vary according to the season, crowd favourites include the ABD Gelato Waffles (S$16.90) and Mac & Cheese (S$20.90)

If you’re craving Chinese cuisine, the extensive menu even features dishes you wouldn’t expect from a cafe, like Fried XO Lau Shu Fen (S$18), Mala Popcorn Chicken (S$20) and Black Truffle Fried Rice with Premium Yunnan Ham & Egg (S$23)

To top it all off, A Beautiful Day Café Tearoom is also currently running a promotion for furry friends from Mondays to Fridays (9am till closing), where a S$50 spend in a single receipt gets you 50% off their Fur Kids Afternoon Tea Set (U.P. S$23.90)!
