Unless you live under a rock, you’ve probably already tried the popular strawberry matcha or banana pudding matcha.
If you’re looking for a cosy, hidden spot for takeaway drinks, brwd / KINN is the perfect place for you.

Although it’s located in Clarke Quay, where prices are notoriously high, we found the prices at this cafe affordable. Say goodbye to tiny, ice-filled cups, because we guarantee you’ll get your money’s worth here.

We visited the outlet along Hong Kong Street, but there’s another branch in Keong Saik Street.
Located in the lobby of boutique hotel KINN habitat, people-watch while sipping on your cup of joe. If you’re a KINN guest, good news, because you get to enjoy 20% off all drinks and pastries.
The interior just screams cosy, with its neutral shades and warm overhead lighting.

Unfortunately, this isn’t one of those places where you can sit down and yap for hours. With its singular couch and mini round tables, brwd / KINN is more suited for takeaway customers.
From now until 31 July 2025, Matcha May-hem is here with a variety of matcha-centric items.

The Matcha Sunrise (S$7.50), a refreshing matcha drink with orange juice, and the Matcha Butter Croissant (S$6.50) sound like a delightful breakfast combo.
As a foam top lover, I knew I had to try the Matcha Sunrise (S$7.50), an interesting mix of matcha cream foam, coconut water, and yuzu. This felt like summer in a cup — it had a smooth mouthfeel despite chewy yuzu bits.

The Matcha Strawberry (S$8) could certainly be less sweet, but the strawberries added some tartness to the overall taste.

The drinks are on the sweeter side, so if you don’t have a sweet tooth, we recommend asking for less sugar.
Other than the seasonal matcha menu, look out for their signature drink, the Sunkissed Brew (S$6.50), which blends espresso with fresh orange juice.
Other classic drinks include the Mocha (S$6.50), which has a nice balance of chocolate and espresso, the Chai Latte (S$6.50), and the Chocolate (S$6).

For the handful who think that matcha tastes like grass, there are other croissant options.
Try their flaky yet buttery croissants, available as the Kaya Butter Croissant (S$5) and the Butter Sugar Croissant (S$5).

Will you be visiting brwd / KINN to decide how matcha you like their drinks?
