Buey Tahan See-Food opens retro void deck-themed restaurant with all-day breakfast & seafood till late

Pasir Ris may not be the most happening foodie hotspot in Singapore, but it is definitely one to watch. Halal seafood tze char restaurant chain Buey Tahan See-Food has opened its ninth outlet at Downtown East, and it’s an old-school concept that might have you yearning for the days of yore.

The main highlight of this void deck-themed restaurant has got to be the nostalgic “mama shop“. Reminisce about the good old days as you browse through shelves lined with vintage snacks and toys.

Other whimsical decor elements include old-school mailboxes, birdcage light fixtures, and prohibited signs found at most HDB void decks.

If the entire restaurant wasn’t already IG-worthy enough, there are even feature walls with quirky food-themed neon lights. A dedicated children’s play area will keep the kids occupied while you sit down for a meal in peace.

Although this outlet is currently in the process of obtaining halal certification, I can already foresee Easties flocking to E!Hub for seafood tze char.

I don’t know about you, but I’d love to get my hands dirty with an order of Crab In Da Bag and Prawn Paste Chicken.

You can also expect an all-day breakfast menu (croissant sandwiches from S$4.90, anyone?) and desserts like croffles with gelato in crowd-pleasing flavours like New York Cheese Cake, Yuzu Sorbet, and Thai Milk Tea.

Don’t miss out on a limited-time 1-for-1 Champion Breakfast Set (worth S$12.90) from 8am–2pm. This breakfast fit for kings (or rather, champions) is inclusive of chicken ham, sautéed mushrooms, chicken chipolata, turkey ham, scrambled eggs, hash brown, tomatoes, toasties, baked beans, and mesclun salad.

To celebrate the launch of their tze char menu, the restaurant is also offering Curry/Assam Signature Fish Head (U.P. S$25) at just S$9.90 from 1pm onwards — a steal!

Both promotions are available from now till 5 June 2022, so you’d better make the most of your weekend.
