There’s just something magical about carnivals where it feels like ‘fun’ permeates the air and people are happy taking in the whimsical carnival vibes along with the usual carnival offerings.
I can’t quite remember the last time I had fun at a proper carnival (all I remember is a friend – you know who you are – hilariously screaming his head off while we were on a pirate ship ride) and can’t wait to finally get back into the carnival spirit again.
While pasar malams are back with all the delicious street food and some amusement rides… How about heading over to a proper carnival providing a whole lotta wholesome fun at Carnival by the Bay?
Mark your calendars, this carnival will be held at The Lawn @ Marina Bay and will run from 2 to 3 September 2022, from 5pm to 9.30pm. Here’s where you can enjoy a lovely evening with your friends, romantic shenanigans with your partner or even some fun family bonding with the kids and fam.
First up, enjoy free movie screenings under the twinkling sky on both nights with the adventure film Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, and the catchy mesmerising antics of The Greatest Showman starring Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron. (Outdoor chairs are available but limited, so feel free to bring along your own picnic mats or seats and get here early to select prime spots before the movies start at 7.30pm!)
Apart from the movies, wander around the carnival and explore a variety of things to do from interactive arcade games and colourful inflatables to fun games with prizes to be won. Light bites will also be available for purchase when you’re feeling snacky.
A memorable evening in the making, head over to Carnival by the Bay this September for a night full of whimsy, fun and great vibes all around!
