Looking for something unique to do this weekend? Try out exciting watersports at the one-day only Carnival by the Straits, that will be taking place on 10 December 2022 at the SAF Yacht Club, with activities such as jet skiing, banana boating, and a line-up of action-packed fun.
Admission to the carnival is free, but activities within the carnival are ticketed – you simply need to purchase a bundle ticket set for S$25. If you’re making it a family outing, every five sets purchased entitles you to a free ticket set. There’ll be a free shuttle bus service from Sembawang MRT, so it’s even more convenient to get there!
The watersports activities range from S$8 to S$10, and you can get three rides (Ski Tube, Kayak, and RHIB boats, the kind used by the navy) with each ride at S$8. Alternatively, go for two rides at S$10 each (Jetski, Banana Boat, and Experiential Boating) and you’ll have S$5 left over for carnival games (from S$2).
You can win prizes at the carnival game booths, play an escape room, and more activities that’ll keep the fun going for hours.
Unwind with food and live music from local talents and get free frozt popsicles (for the first 70 ticketholders only). Check out the carnival’s stores selling a range of products from handicrafts to essential oils — perfect for festive gifting.
For the younger kids, there’s free balloons, magic shows, and bouncy castles (ticketed) to keep the young ones occupied. There will even be a fancy dress competition, with the themes being “sunny”, “fun”, and “sailor”, so you can stand a chance to win attractive prizes.
