Looking for something new to do? How about hopping on the ‘Orient Express’, checking into a luxe room, wandering through IG-worthy corridors designed like train platforms – and kicking back at a Japanese-inspired café and aqua gym at Citadines Connect City Centre, the newest railway-inspired hotel in Singapore located in Dhoby Ghaut?

Built on the site of the former Rediffusion building and before that, a colonial-era train station, it’s easy to see where the hotel gets its inspiration from. The hotel exudes old-world charm, with its high archways and ceilings resembling railway tracks, creating an ‘Orient Express’-like atmosphere.

The hotel’s Junior Suite especially resembles a train cabin, with wooden-panelled walls, retro ceiling lamps, a comfy large bed and carpeted floors. There’s also a free minibar, floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the city, and a bathtub if you like taking bubble baths.

For those having a family staycation, check out the hotel’s family suite that comes with a bunk bed with a slide, rock climbing wall, and kids play area, perfect for families with young children!

Michelin-starred Café Natsu is also opening at the hotel, serving up Western dishes with a Japanese spin. For example, their breakfast platter (S$26) has Kurobuta Pork Sausage, Kombu Beans, Roasted Tomato and Avocado (served with Sourdough & Scrambled Eggs), combining both Japanese and Western elements to create a flavourful breakfast.

You can also get wagyu (S$26) and egg mayo sandos (S$18), mochi fried donuts (S$12), and smoked salmon ochazuke dons (S$19). You’ll feel as if you’re eating a meal in a train’s dining car amidst the pretty views.

So for your next staycation in Singapore, hop aboard and immerse yourself in a train-themed staycay perfect for the family at the Citadines Connect City Centre Hotel!
