Sakura season is in full bloom — in hotels across Singapore. Afternoon tea specials inspired by the beauty of cherry blossoms are sprouting up all over, making me miss Japan like never before. For now, let’s make do with experiencing hanami in the form of Sakura Afternoon Tea at the Lobby Lounge in Conrad Centennial Singapore.
The Lobby Lounge, with its plush seating, ambient lighting, and overall relaxing atmosphere, is the go-to afternoon tea spot for many.
Exquisite sakura-inspired delights
The Sakura Afternoon Tea is available daily, at S$45++ per pax on weekdays and S$49++ per pax on weekends, and comes inclusive with a choice of Brazilian Coffee and Ronnefedlt Tea. You can also top up S$20++ for unlimited Prosecco because wine not?
Nibble on handcrafted delights like Sakura Brioche Skagen and Egg Sandwiches and Rose Buttermilk with Ikura and Dill.
The presence of sakura is most distinct in the Red Velvet Sakura Mousse with Raspberry Jam, Sakura Tart with Wild Strawberry Compôte, and of course, Homemade Scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. You can’t have afternoon tea without scones.
There are only two seatings daily, so make your reservations in advance here.
Do note that cash payments are no longer accepted at the Lobby Lounge.
