Singapore’s got it good when it comes to getting around.

With a public transport system that ranked fourth in the world in 2022 and a buffet of ride-hailing apps to choose from, commuters are spoiled for choice (admin only ever takes public transport). There’s a new player in town, and it’s ready to shake things up. Say hello to Geolah!

Geolah started making waves with a beta trial in 2023, and early users had one thing to rave about: cheaper fares.

Unlike other ride-hailing apps that take up to 20% in commission fees, Geolah lets drivers keep 100% of their earnings, making it a win-win for both drivers and riders.

After securing a provisional license from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in 2024, Geolah has officially hit the road, giving Singaporeans yet another ride-hailing option.

Over the next year, the company will be fine-tuning its services to meet LTA’s regulatory standards before applying for a full Ride-Hail Service Operator Licence.

Ever checked a ride-hailing app only to see prices skyrocket when it rains? It’s different with Geolah.

Unlike other platforms, Geolah’s pricing is based only on service type, distance, and driver availability. That means no sneaky surge pricing during peak hours or bad weather. What you see is what you pay.

But what truly sets Geolah apart is its wide range of ride options, ensuring that there’s a ride for every need.

Families can book GeoKids, which offers four or six-seater rides with a booster seat for young passengers, while travellers with luggage can opt for GeoAirports, which provides extra space.

Those looking for a classic metered taxi can choose GeoTaxi, while riders wanting a premium experience with extra legroom can select GeoCar VIP.

GeoPets caters to pet owners traveling with their furry companions, and for those needing flexible rides, GeoLimo allows you to hire a driver for up to eight hours. With over 15 ride options, the list goes on.

To sweeten the deal, new users can enjoy exclusive ride coupons, with the first 250,000 downloads receiving up to S$38 every month in ride credits.

As always, with yet another ride-hailing app in town, it’s always smart to compare prices to snag the best deal.

Geolah is available for download on Google Play and the Apple Store.

Will you be booking your next ride with Geolah?
