This elevated Indian restaurant in the heart of Little India, GUPSHUP is tucked in a hidden basement at Colonial Hotel.
Set in The Serangoon House, which pays homage to Indian colonial design and interior architecture, this dining destination reimagines Indian cuisine with flair.
Helmed by renowned former MasterChef India Judge, Chef Jolly, GUPSHUP blends India’s rich culinary heritage with contemporary touches, delivering bold, vibrant flavours in a glamorous, colonial-inspired setting.
On Friday to Sundays, 12pm to 2.30pm only, GUPSHUP is offering a 1-for-1 on its signature The Great Indian Feast* (S$59++), a 13-dish dining experience.
Appetisers begin with the Bhindi Amchur, an addictive crispy fried okra dusted with chickpea flour, cumin and mango powder, followed by the crispy, fried, spherical Pani Poori.
The restaurant’s bold Gosht Seekh Kebab, made from punchy lamb mince skewers with garlic, coriander, and mild chillies, as well as the beloved South Indian crispy snack, Chicken 65, are also amongst your must-tries.
End of your meal with the Kulfi Falooda, the most delicious rendition of Indian ice cream. The dessert is a house-made frozen reduced milk, with almond, pistachio, cardamom, and rose, layered with vermicelli, holy basil seeds, and a drizzle of raspberry sauce.
The craziest thing? All your plates are refillable! But as good as their dishes are, make sure to pace yourself to savour every single bite without rushing for the refills.
