While many of us can’t start our day without some coffee, there’s also a good number of us that unfortunately have to suffer the consequences for our daily cup of joe — acid reflux, upset tummies and so on (thanks to the acidic nature of coffee!).
For the owner of Ho Tit Coffee Powder Factory located in Paya Lebar, that’s one of the main reasons why she’s running this rustic little coffee ‘museum’ where visitors can not only shop from a huge variety of coffee beans, powders and even brews — but many of them are also suitable for those suffering from acid reflux, diabetes and so on (they make for great gifts too!).
With over 70 years of history, this charming space is filled with olden knick-knacks and looks like it’s frozen in time — it almost looks like a retro-themed cafe but sadly, they don’t offer dine-in services.
That being said, the owners of the place are known to be really friendly and are known by many to offer a variety of coffee samples and snacks to visitors — all while they share their extensive knowledge of coffee and its history with you (can’t find a tour like this anywhere else!).
When you’ve decided on which coffee you fancy, the enthusiastic owners will also be more than happy to show you the right way to prepare them so that you’ll be able to enjoy the best coffee possible in the comfort of your own home.
