Honkai: Star Rail cafe has freebies like an acrylic stand, coasters, exclusive merch, themed food & more until 14 November 2023

11 October 2023 is a big day for Trailblazers, and no, it’s not International Trash Can Day — it’s the day of the Version 1.4 update, the long-awaited release of the game on PS5, and most importantly, the day that the Honkai: Star Rail themed cafe opens its doors in Singapore!

After the success of the Honkai: Star Rail x CHAGEE Singapore collaboration, we’ll see the Astral Express pulling into Kith Cafe at Millenia Walk as part of the global Time To Feast! Astral Express Pit Stop food collaboration event, bringing along exclusive merchandise, in-game items and a menu inspired by in-game consumables.

The Honkai: Star Rail cafe will run from 11 October to 14 November. By purchasing any set meals and completing the corresponding social media activity, fans can receive one collaboration holographic ticket which has a redemption code for the following special in-game items:

  • Chef Pom-Pom (avatar)
  • Conductor’s Treat (phone wallpaper)
  • Pom-Pom’s Fried Fowl (consumable)
  • Pom-Pom’s Fried Fowl (recipe)

You’ll also get a lucky draw (more like gacha) chance for a Pom-Pom Gourmet Sailing Badge

Due to the event’s high popularity, visitors will have to pre-book their seats two days in advance. But while you’re waiting, let me fill you in on the details and what you can expect!

Upon arriving at the cafe, you’ll spot life-size standees of March 7th, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and other characters that will tempt you to take them home. Splashed across the walls and tables are artworks of the poster children, and you’ll find the merchandise booth further in with shelves of character merch like acrylic stands, metal badges and more.

We ordered Combo Meals A and B (S$29.70) which also came with freebies like coasters (with two available designs), cup sleeves, food toppers and a cute Pom-Pom straw holder

The Frostweave Salmon Bread appetiser of Combo A surprised us. The combination of salty salmon atop crispy, buttered bread, complemented by sweet berry jam and fragrant sesame soy dressing was a delightful pairing of flavours and textures.

Contrary to our initial guess, the Deep-Fried Flying Sea Anemone was not fish, but grilled octopus sausages and crispy potato wedges generously coated with a rich and savoury tomato sauce that reminded us of tomato bolognese.

The Steamed Puffergoat Milk (milk tea) that was part of Combo A was creamier and more fragrant than expected, though it could use just a tad less sugar for my taste.

On the other hand, Combo B had nothing to shout about, but I definitely enjoyed the Snapper Jam Appetizer which had fresh fish encased in a perfectly crispy batter.

We gave the side dishes (from S$6.95) a try as well. Instead of deer antlers and droppings of blue-winged squirrels, the Grande Rujuvepill we were served came in the form of Kith Cafe’s signature Sea Salt Chocolate Cookies. I can foresee chocolate lovers enjoying these dense, chocolatey cookies which had the perfect hint of sweetness.

The Honkai: Star Rail cafe has a Weekend Special Benefit, where those who purchase two sets of combo meals and complete a social media task on weekends can receive a free acrylic collaboration standee featuring Dan Heng and March 7th. Unfortunately for fans visiting on weekdays, you’ll have to purchase the collaboration standee from the merchandise shop at S$21.
