Buffets, buffets, buffets — that’s all we’ve been hearing about as of late. At this rate, we might as well have already mastered the art of anything “all-you-can-eat”!
If you’ve always wanted to take on unlimited oysters and Japanese rice bowls, you can now do so (and maybe even prove a point) at Kakurega (The Lair).
The yakitori and sake bar located in the heart of Chinatown has launched an extremely enticing Oysters & Mini Dons Buffet priced at just S$50++ per person.
Update: as of 1 April 2023, the buffet will be priced at $69++ per person.
You heard that right — you can chow down on jumbo oysters (U.P. S$8.40 each) from the Hyogo prefecture, each weighing more than 110g per piece and measuring around 7–10cm in size.
Choose to enjoy them fresh or with aburi (torched) cheese. Either way, if you’re an oyster lover, you’re guaranteed to get the most bang for your buck!
Although the oysters are undeniably the main selling point here, the buffet also consists of 10 specially curated premium mini dons, which include the likes of Wagyu Karubi Don (I know I’ll be ordering a lot of these), Kaisen Bara Bara Don, Salmon Mentaiko Don, Uzaku Don, and Mentaiko Pasta.
There’s a rice bowl for everyone, regardless of whether you like beef, chicken, salmon, pork, or anything mentaiko!
Those who don’t wish to indulge in oysters can even opt for just the Mini Don Buffet at S$30++ per person.
But that’s not all — if you go for the buffet in groups of four and above, the entire gang gets to enjoy any 1.8L bottle of sake at 30% off!
