Autumn in Japan sounds like a dream come true — gorgeous crimson leaves that crunch beneath your feet, perfectly cool weather and let’s not forget, the delicious seasonal Japanese treats that go oh-so-perfectly with a piping hot cup of tea.
While we might not have the same experience in Singapore, we can still get a slice of it thanks to Four Seasons Hotel Singapore’s new Kyoto in Autumn high tea experience.
At S$58 per person, you’ll be able to enjoy a gorgeous selection of sweet and savoury treats prepared by Chef Reiko — a guest pastry chef hailing from Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto (which only makes the experience so much more special and authentic!).
For the sweets, you have an array of intricately prepared treats prepared with some of Japan’s favourite fall flavours like chestnut, apricot, yuzu and more — look forward to trying desserts like the Kuri Kinton candied chestnut, sweet and tangy Yuzu White Chocolate Bonbon, earthy Matcha Moss Sphere and many more.
As for the savoury bites, you’ll get to enjoy fresh flavours of the season like King Crab Chawanmushi, Unagi Finger Sandwiches, Saikyo Miso Foie Gras Terrine, and a bunch of other tantalising flavours.
Of course, it wouldn’t be high tea without the most important thing — tea. Choose from a selection of floral teas like osmanthus sencha, and roasted green teas like Hojicha, Genmaicha, and more (there’s definitely something that suits everyone’s flavour preferences!).
If you’re looking to make your afternoon tea session a little Irish, you can also pay S$78 per person for the experience with an added choice of Japanese-inspired craft cocktails with Japanese spirits.
