Speed down a colourful racetrack on a VR bike, ride a swan paddle boat, or pilot a neon mecha suit – these are just some of the fun activities you can expect to enjoy at Mega Carnival at Downtown East, which promises a good time for all, regardless of age. Taking place from 17 November 2022 to 5 February 2023, the carnival will be here for Christmas, New Year’s, and Chinese New Year!
Those who like dinosaurs are in for a treat — you can look forward to interacting with animatronic dinosaurs, riding on a Triceratops, going on a spinny dino egg ride, and more exciting prehistoric experiences.
The star of the show is the 4-metre-tall and 10 metre-long T-Rex that is sure to be a hit with dino lovers.
For the kids, there are inflatable bouncy castles and a ‘gladiator’ hamster ball experience where you can battle it out, alongside dinosaur ball pits and sandpits.
And in a first for the carnival, there are four virtual reality (VR) attractions you can have fun with, including motorbike racing, skiing, shooting games, and space adventures. Ride through cityscapes on a sleek white bike as you race your friends, and challenge your shooting accuracy in these games.
Challenge your dancing skills in a DDR-esque dancing game, or compete in a Daytona circuit with arcade games for some retro fun. You can also expect carnival rides like paddle boats, game booths, and the ever-popular mecha suit experience, where you’ll get to ride in a giant robot, complete with fake weaponry and controls (almost like you’re in Pacific Rim or like D.VA from Overwatch!).
After you’ve had your fill of fun, head over to the carnival’s food stalls and grab a bite!
The ticketed attraction lasts for three and a half hours per time slot, which you’ll have to book online. Tickets are selling out fast, with some dates already sold out, so get yours while they’re still available!
