It’s official, Pepper Lunch is now Halal certified. In a facebook post today, the popular brand announced that all their outlets including Pepper Lunch and Pepper Lunch Express, have obtained the certification and will start displaying it starting today (Feb. 8).

According to HalalHub, Pepper Lunch has been working on getting their halal certification from as far back as March 2020.

This comes as no surprise as all Pepper Lunch outlets in Singapore currently have no pork and lard on their menus. But Pepper Lunch’s halal certification makes it official and all Singaporeans can now enjoy it, regardless of religion.

Pepper Lunch is a Japanese “fast-steak” restaurant franchise known for affordability and serving their food on hot sizzling iron plates.

Now with Pepper Lunch halal-certified, our Muslim friends can have a taste of the juicy seared meats and vegetables that they are known for.

Everyone can enjoy now that Pepper Lunch is Halal

You can find some of many people’s favourites on the menu including:

  • Their signature Beef Pepper Rice
  • Salmon Pepper Rice
  • Salmon & Prawn Pasta
  • teriyaki chicken

That’s just part of it, their menu is huge and diverse.

All orders are cooked ala minute upon ordering. You can DIY all your orders with various toppings such as adding cheese to spruce up the texture. The Pepper Lunch halal certification will give everyone the enjoyment of cooking their own food to their own liking.

You never have to worry about overdone or overly-rare beef cuts on your Pepper Lunch plate. Not to mention, if you like your food a bit burnt no one can judge you on that.

If that’s not enough, there are also new promo items for CNY which include a very succulent-looking Unagi Steak available for just S$18.80.

It’s always good news when a beloved franchise attains a halal certification so that everyone can enjoy the same food. Pepper Lunch’s halal certification only means more people can have a taste of their great food.
