Are you a fan of the Italian menu at Casa Vostra and La Bottega, but also don’t mind exploring a different cuisine for a change? The team behind those 2 restaurants, Chef Antonio Miscellaneo and crew, has just unveiled a new Mediterranean restaurant at Dempsey.
Petra opened on 24 October 2026, welcoming diners to experience Mediterranean hospitality and flavours. Highlights include house-baked bread, seasonal salads, fresh seafood, grilled meats, and more.
An experience that Petra wants to create for customers is open, interactive dining moments. This can be seen from a dedicated seafood counter showcasing the day’s fresh catch, a salad bar with seasonal greens and other colours, and a bread oven that produces the restaurant’s selection of Middle Eastern flatbreads.
If you’re getting one of these freshly baked breads (S$11–S$12), the restaurant recommends complementing them with its housemade mezze dips. Want a variety of flavours? Opt for the Mezze Dip Trio (S$32), which comes with hummus, matbukha, and taramasalata dips.
For the mains, diners can explore dishes From the Sea and From the Land. A potential sharing dish would be the Whole grilled lavrak (Mediterranean sea bass) with rosemary marinade, parsley, crispy capers, and spicy plate (S$108). This signature dish can serve 3–4 people.
Those who prefer something meaty can go for the Lamb leg kofte with baharat spices and chimichurri sauce (S$32). Pair this with a drink from Petra’s wide selection of cocktails, spirits, wines, and sodas, and you’ll have a wholesome, delicious meal.
Finally, add a sweet finish to your meal with Petra’s small but mighty dessert menu. Mouth-watering items include Muhallabia baklava cream with mixed berries and crispy phyllo (S$18), and Dubai chocolate tart with white chocolate, pistachio, and kataifi (S$26).
