RAY Educators kids’ camps will help your kids to learn new skills & have fun while getting them out of the house

Here’s a good way to get the kids out of the house, learning new skills and having fun instead of staying home fighting over the iPad or TV every other day (and driving us slightly insane while they’re at it).

Minimising screen time, plus honing their fine motor skills and picking up life skills along the way – kids’ camps are a perfect opportunity to help unleash more of their creativity, and perhaps even set the stage for some of their future endeavours. (True story, I developed a massive love for reading after being sent to phonics classes as a five-year-old, and this I sincerely believe, paved the way to my career in media.)

From baking camps to drama camps and an all-around fabulous fun camp, RAY Educators has you covered with an array of 1-day, 2-day and 3-day camps. Good for kiddos aged four to 14, these camps will keep your kids entertained, and help with their social skills, while providing insightful classes that add to their learning journey beyond what they would usually learn in school.

Choose from four different camps, each suitable for different age groups and offering different experiences:

1. Summer Holiday Baking Camp Junior Chef (for 8 to 14 years)

Available as a 2-day or 3-day camp, this is where your kids will learn to bake ice-cream cone cupcakes, adorable lion cookies (and tropical pineapple cake, if you choose the 3-day camp) from scratch. They will also engage in storytelling and fun activities while learning more about themselves in the “Discover Me Time” included in the camp.

2. Summer Holiday Baking Wonderland (for 5 to 8 years)

For the younger ones, this baking camp is also available as a 2-day or 3-day camp which will teach them to bake homemade Pocky sticks, brownie pops (and summer beach cake if you opt for the 3-day camp) from scratch!

3. Fabulous Fun Camp (for 6 to 12 years)

Have a child that just wants to have fun? This Fabulous Fun Camp is a 6-hour experience specifically designed to keep them engaged with different activities from art and craft activities to culinary activities and even exciting excursions (we hear kids really loved the Hydrodash activity included in this camp!).

4. Drama Camp Heroes (for 4 to 8 years)

A good option for children interested in roleplay, or even those with a love for superheroes, this drama camp will introduce your child to the idea of being a hero (or what it means to be a hero).

Whether it’s a superhero the likes of Spiderman or unsung heroes that contribute to our society – children will learn to look at heroes from a different perspective and learn that a little act of kindness they offer to people around them can make them someone’s hero. They will also create and star as their own superhero in their play.

Sometimes a kid just needs to have fun (and parents just need our own time), and its a good way to kill two birds with one stone – so to speak – than by sending them to fun kids’ camps (from S$225) where they get to learn and play!
