Cafe Melba is hosting its first ever retro-themed carnival featuring a vintage flea market, a bbq and pop-up bar, live music & more fun activities for the whole family

Popular cafe, Cafe Melba, has an exciting retro-themed carnival that is bound to be great fun for the whole family. The cafe is teaming up with The Retro Factory and Camp Rokit to bring you the first-ever Retro Carnival@Melba. Happening on 25 March 2023, get ready to shop, dine, be entertained by live performances, and more!

The Vintage Flea Market, organised by The Retro Factory, will feature 18 booths selling a variety of items that will bring back feelings of nostalgia for many. Love collecting vinyl records? Record store Memory Lane will be present at the carnival for you to check out — it might be a good time to pick up some rare finds to add to your collection.

Vintage jewellery and collectibles have been making a comeback in the fashion world. Make sure to check out the booths by Fagsories, Jewel Arts, The Trinket Shop, and Beads Etc for some interesting finds that might make for great statement pieces in your #OOTD. Fashion label Umville x Garakuta will also be joining the scene and bringing their collection of Japanese apparel to the carnival. 

Other interesting finds you can expect at the flea market include automotive collectibles by Gear Oil Cafe, crystals and gemstones by Sweet Secret Collections, and even home-baked goods by Adeline Pastry.

Food wise, there will be a BBQ and pop-up bar happening from 11am to 9pm. You can expect hearty carnival fare like sausage sizzle, chicken skewers, Angus cheeseburger, rotisserie lamb wrap, fresh oyster, Australian prawns, and drinks specials. Kids can try their hands at the Pizza making session – they’ll get to customise it to their liking and enjoy the final product!

Apart from shopping and feasting, there are also several fun activities for the kids too. You can drop your kids off at the bouncy castle – the bouncy castle is open the whole day so they can bounce to their heart’s content while you shop the day away. There’s also plenty of fun and exciting kid-friendly activities organised by Camp Rockit

To add to the vibrant carnival vibes, there will be several musical acts taking the stage to bring you live music throughout the day. Vinyl DJ Rico Smith will be playing tracks from his vinyl collection, alongside other musical acts like Rendra & Elsa, Shak, and DJ Aceman
