There is no shortage of pretty cafes in Singapore. The more the merrier, I say. If you live in Potong Pasir, here’s another new spot to spend a lazy afternoon at — Rise.
Is the space IG-worthy? Very.
Aside from the soothing cream and coral tones, Scandinavian wood furniture and dried pampas grass decorations give the entire cafe a “rustic” vibe. Rise and shine, because this is the place to visit for some well-deserved me-time.
They’ve got the full package — coffee, artisanal bakes, and gelato. Take some time to marvel at the gorgeous display of teatime treats. What will you pick? It’s so hard to decide.
Freshly made teacakes & bakes
Start off with a Flat White (S$5.50), Orange Chocolate (S$6.50), or a thirst-quenching Iced Peaches ‘n’ Creme Tea (S$6.50). Most customers gravitate to the assortment of dainty teacakes, including the Apple Crumble Pie (S$6.90), Strawberry Cheesecake (S$7.20), and Black Sesame (S$6.90). As a sucker for all things sour, I’d probably head straight for the Yuzu Lemon teacake (S$6.20) to brighten my day.
Get your Gelato (S$3.90 for single, $7.50 for double) to go in a Handrolled Rosemary Cone (S$1.50), or sit down and unwind over their signature Brown Butter Waffles with Maple Syrup (S$6.90). A scoop of gelato atop an 85% Dark Choc Fudgy Brownie (S$4.90) doesn’t sound half bad either.
A wide variety of gelato flavours are available, such as Lemon Curd Speculoos, Shizuoka Genmaicha, and even Cheddar Cheese Ritz Crackers for lovers of all things sweet and savoury.
Rise up from your bed, sleepy one. Coffee and cakes await.
