You can find the most zen and gorgeous standalone Starbucks outlet in Singapore just five minutes from Buona Vista MRT

Here in Singapore, we’re all pretty used to seeing the circular green logo with a siren (or mermaid) on it—there’s practically a Starbucks at every corner. Shopping malls, schools, train stations, you name it.

What isn’t common here though, is a standalone Starbucks (the only other one that I know of is the one in Novena!).

At Rochester Park, you’ll find not only a lovely two-storey standalone Starbucks outlet ready to satisfy all of your caffeine cravings, but it’s also possibly Singapore’s most zen and beautiful Starbucks outlet.

A gorgeous black and white colonial house, this unique Starbucks outlet is surrounded by lush greenery and is located away from the usual hustle and bustle of our city without being too obscure. And it’s just a short five minute walk from Buona Vista MRT!

As you step into the outlet, you’ll be welcomed by a spacious interior complete with dark tiled floors and minimalist black furnishings — not unusual for Starbucks but coupled with colonial-styled shutter windows, the comforting smell of the surrounding nature and idyllic views, it really feels like a tranquil haven for those seeking a peaceful spot to work, read or just relax over a cup of coffee.

At night, the Starbucks outlet transforms into an entirely different sight, with warm lights illuminating the building. I can totally picture this being a nice spot to have coffee or tea with your loved ones after a date or long day of work. (Not to mention, it makes for really good photographs for your IG feed as well!)

In fact, this Starbucks outlet is so picturesque that they even had their own limited edition ceramic mug (released in 2013) with a picture of the building sketched on it. It might not be available in stores now, but if you’re really keen to have a little piece of the heritage in your collection, you can still find them on e-commerce sites like Carousell.

So the next time you’re looking to switch it up and head somewhere new but still want a good cuppa, definitely head over to Rochester Park’s ‘hidden’ Starbucks outlet!
