Snoopy Pop-up Library opens with Peanuts-themed spaces & bookmarks

Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and their friends are pop culture icons that have existed in my mind for as long as I can remember. Even though I’m not personally a fan of Peanuts, its characters have always popped up in my sight once in a while on TV, in a cafe somewhere, or on a shelf in a toy store.

Well, from 27 October 2026 to 19 September 2027, this beloved gang is going to stay in our minds for a while with the Snoopy Pop-up Library at Plaza Singapura!

My colleague and I dropped by to check out the space and felt like we stepped into the world of Peanuts. If you’re a Snoopy fan or a parent who wants to spark your child’s interest in reading, you’ll love it even more!

Peanuts Brought to Life

The first thing you will notice at this pop-up is reading corners inspired by classic Peanuts comic strips and scenes. I had almost forgotten that these characters first existed in newspapers, but it’s nice to see this pop-up paying homage to their origins.

You can visit a familiar bus stop, hop onto the Peanuts School Bus for a photo with Snoopy, hang out at the Snoopy Garden, or read some books with the friendly beagle in Charlie Brown’s Classroom.

If you’re a Peanuts fan, you will have fun spotting references and also find how they are incorporated into the library charming and fitting.

Some of you might be wondering whether this pop-up is only for kids and their parents. Good news for all the adult Snoopy fans – it’s not! A huge part of the library, made up of about 10,000 physical and digital books, is catered to children. However, there is also a collection suitable for all ages.

Visitors will discover popular Peanuts titles, as well as other books specially curated by the National Library & Archives Board (NLB).

Fortunately, consulting Lucy is completely free of charge (not even 5 cents), and you can even print out your Reading Prescription in the form of a physical bookmark!

These bookmarks contain personalised recommendations based on your mood (answers) and will even direct you to parts of the library where you can find them. At the same time, they double as keepsakes that will remind you of your time at the Snoopy Library and inspire you to read more.

Once you’ve found your perfect read, you will need to borrow it using the NLB Mobile app. For a smooth experience, it is highly recommended that you download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store prior to your visit and make sure you’re an NLB member.
