Dine by the sea, spot planes & admire the sunset at this vibey seaside lounge

If Offshore Bar & Grill caught your attention, think of Stella Seaside Lounge as its chill, boozy cousin. Located along the coastline of Changi Beach, Stella is the place you’ll want to be on a relaxed Friday evening after a week that’s spanned 5 days too long.

Sea views & sea breeze

Those aching for a getaway but who aren’t traveling yet might find respite in this Bali-esque beach dining concept, with — as the VSCO girls say — the salty breeze in your hair, and toes in the sand. Perhaps not the latter in the immediate dining facility of course, but Stella promises great sea views and wind-swept hair.

To maximise the experience, book a seaside table in advance around dusk to catch the setting sun as you savour your sharing plates and knock back a few cold beers.

Depending on how hungry you are, there are portions for all appetites. To share, select from the classic Truffle Fries (S$14), hearty Butter Garlic Prawns (S$22), or a pair of tacos that come with various fillings like Fish (S$18), Chicken (S$14), and Pulled Pork (S$16).

If you’re coming with a crowd and are feeling like going all out, order straight from the grill and treat your crew to the St. Louis Pork Ribs, Half Rack (S$36) or even the whole nine yards that is the Trio Meat Platter (S$98) which will leave you as satiated as you are stuffed.

Booze & more booze

An extensive alcohol menu also exists for your picking pleasure, and offers almost anything you can think of from beers on tap to gin and wine. You’ll also find interesting concoctions on their cocktail menu that puts a summer spin on the pairings that we already know and love.

The Seaside Sangria (S$17 per glass) boasts a refreshing meld of white wine, peach liqueur, orange juice, rum, apple, and strawberry while Our Tiny Pina Colada (S$23) is the perennial classic combination of dark rum, pineapple juice, vanilla sugar, and coconut cream.

Plane Spotting

For those enthused about aviation and all its wonders just like I am, this seaside lounge is a haven for your plane spotting fix. If you’re lucky, you can expect to catch a passing A320 and B737, or even the occasional Queen of the Skies B747 which isn’t operating commercially anymore but is still very much active in the cargo scene.
