Looking for quality sushi without breaking the bank? Sushidan continues redefining affordable luxury with a new customisable Omakase Set, 1-for-1 selected maki sushi, Toro Zanmai, and Negitoro at just S$6.90++.

Nestled in Raffles City, the cosy restaurant pairs warm wood interiors with counter seating, where you can watch the chefs prepare each piece of sushi right before your eyes.
Toro Zanmai

Next, we tried the Toro Zanmai for just S$6.90. The Toro comes in 3 different pairings — Toro Shoyu, Toro Tobikko, and Torotaku — served alongside crispy premium nori.
The rich, buttery toro melted on the tongue and left a subtle sweet umami finish without an overpowering fishiness. Wrapped in the crisp nori, every bite had a satisfying contrast of textures. Our favourite was the Torotaku, where the crunchy pickled daikon added a refreshing salty tang that complemented the creamy tuna.
Nanairo Set
We also tried the Nanairo Set (S$29.90), in both raw and aburi styles. The set starts with a silky Seasonal Chawan Mushi, a Chef’s Appetiser, and a mini cold Udon.

The heart of the meal is a Sushi platter with 7 pieces of the chef’s selection. The standout for us was the Engawa. It was particularly fatty and dissolved the moment it touched our palate. The salmon and tuna also came in generous, thick slices that were fresh and satisfying.

The meal also comes with a Negitoro Handroll, filled with creamy minced tuna and wrapped in crisp seaweed. The whole omakase experience then rounds off with a comforting bowl of miso soup.

1-for-1 Maki Rolls

Right now, Sushidan is having a weekday-only 1-for-1 Maki Rolls promotion, with the lower-priced one being complimentary. To enjoy this promotion, simply follow them on Instagram and show the staff any of their promotional post upon seating. Last order will be 5pm.
We went for Ben, the head chef’s recommendation, and got 2 makis: Takumi Roll and Unagi Roll.
The Takumi Roll is generously topped with chunks of salmon and tuna poke coated in a housemade spicy sauce, delivering a refreshing and umami flavour. The Unagi Roll, on the other hand, features torched eel layered with a creamy homemade cheese sauce that adds extra smokiness.
Overall, the selections we tried were pretty good considering their price point. If you are around Raffles City and craving wallet-friendly sushi, Sushidan is definitely worth adding to your list.
