The Betterfield is best known for being a French fusion dining concept in Shenton Way, but did you know that they also have a fabulous all-you-can-eat oyster buffet?
The popular restaurant & bar has brought back the popular Hyogo Oyster Buffet at just S$42++ per pax for unlimited freshly shucked oysters. These oysters, from the Hyogo prefecture in Japan, are fresh and creamy, with a silky smooth mouthfeel — I could down dozens of them in no time at all.
Aside from the typical tabasco and lemon slices, you can also enjoy free-flow mentaiko or truffle cream sauce which can be torched onto your oysters. Can’t say no to an added boost of umami flavour.
Do note that there is a dine-in time of 1.5 hours for those who wish to partake in the oyster buffet, so plan your time wisely (and of course, washing everything down with a tipple or two won’t hurt).
Although only oysters are available for the buffet, you can opt for a la carte mains like the signature Classical Duck Confit (S$26), Hanger Steak (S$24), and Tiger Prawn Aglio Olio (S$24), which features huge king tiger prawns (the size of your hand) seared in garlic and olive oil.
