It’s a sad day for dim sum fans who love to frequent Tim Ho Wan at Plaza Singapura. The beloved Hong Kong restaurant chain has announced that it is closing its first-ever outlet in Singapore after 13 years of operation.
This move by Tim Ho Wan might be shocking to some, but is not entirely surprising, given that Plaza Singapura will also soon undergo redevelopment and rejuvenation works.
Though this is bittersweet news for many, Tim Ho Wan Plaza Singapura plans to go out not with sadness, but with celebration.
13 Days of Gratitude
From 30 June 2026 to 12 July 2026, the outlet will be holding a ‘13 Days of Gratitude’ countdown to express its appreciation for the support from diners over the last 13 years. This comes in the form of a 30% discount on a selected signature dish each day.
From Pork & Shrimp Dumplings to Steamed Golden Lava Salted Egg Buns to Pork Congee with Century & Salted Eggs, savour your favourites at this iconic outlet one last time.
Customer Appreciation Dinner
On closing day, 12 July 2026, the restaurant will also be hosting the Plaza Singapura Appreciation Dinner — A Nostalgic Farewell Celebration. This is the ultimate finale, where for S$68, you can enjoy free-flow selected dim sum and beverages, alongside live music performances.
Customers who go for this experience will also receive a goodie bag with exclusive Tim Ho Wan merchandise and a S$30 voucher for future visits to other Tim Ho Wan outlets.

Memorabilia and keepsakes
Besides the discounts and goodies, there will also be a Memory Wall where you can snap photos with a themed backdrop and props, allowing you to keep and share these memories you made at Tim Ho Wan Plaza Singapura.
Tim Ho Wan’s presence outside of Hong Kong first began with this outlet’s opening in Singapore, making our Lion City the restaurant chain’s first overseas home. Since 2013, Tim Ho Wan has opened eight other outlets across the country, which will remain committed to serving diners for a long time to come.
