World Cup 2026 guide

The biggest sports event in the world is back. The FIFA World Cup 2026 kicked off on 11 June 2026 and will have the whole globe glued to their screens until its final match on 19 July 2026. If you’re looking for a one-stop guide for all things related to match airings and the best places to catch them in Singapore, look no further.

Best places to watch matches live

Perhaps you’re someone who enjoys the ‘community spirit’, joint excitement, and buzzy atmosphere of watching the World Cup with other people. Grab some friends and head down to one of the following locations to catch a live screening together! The best part? Most of these screenings are free to join.

Lau Pa Sat

One of Singapore’s most iconic hawker centres will become a prime location for World Cup screenings this month. The central location, combined with tasty food, a cosy atmosphere, 360 views of high-rise buildings, and bustling activity till late, almost makes Lau Pa Sat look like it exists just to host big screening events.

What is even more exciting is that the hawker centre will screen every single World Cup match live on two 130-inch screens, starting in the wee hours of 12 June 2026. For the entire duration of the World Cup, Lau Pa Sat will essentially turn into a 24-hour, daily hub for football enthusiasts.

Since many of the matches will be happening at ungodly hours like 3am and 6am, there will be stalls open round the clock, serving food and drinks that will be a much-needed fuel for everyone to last through the night.

From 23 June 2026 to 7 July 2026, there will also be a contest you can take part in. Three lucky winners and their watch parties will be chosen and win exclusive VIP Fan Experiences. The top winner and their friends will get chauffeured transport to Lau Pa Sat for the World Cup finals, reserved viewing seats, a five-star luxurious daycation at QT Singapore Hotel, an After-Hours Freshen-Up Fanatic Kit, and a limited Coca Cola™ Gift Set.

To stand a chance to win, you simply need to follow @laupasat.sg on Instagram, comment which country you are supporting, tag five friends you would share this experience with, and tag @laupasat.sg while sharing the giveaway post on your Instagram stories.
