Stuck in Singapore and missing out on the gorgeous cherry blossom season in Japan? Here’s one way you can enjoy the pastel pink hues and soak in all the sakura goodness while indulging in self-care and total relaxation at Yunomori Onsen & Spa in Singapore.
Available till 31 May 2022, make your way to Yunomori at Kallang Wave Mall and hop into the Sakura Bath.
Traditionally, the arrival of cherry blossoms blooming in Japan from the end of March to early May marks the start of Spring, where locals and travellers alike intentionally head out to enjoy the beauty of these famous flowers.
While we might not be in Japan now, we can still partake in this tradition through the Sakura Bath while enjoying other facilities at Yunomori.
Entry to Yunomori Onsen & Spa is S$40.66 on a first come first served basis, with no time limitations. So you can feel free to spend your day alternating between four hot baths including the pretty pink-hued Sakura Bath (five hot baths for the men), one cold bath and one steam room.
And if you’d like to spend a little more time here in the lovely Sakura Bath, you might be interested to know about some of its healing properties. Studies have shown that cherry blossoms have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and they are also believed to bring healing to irritated skin and help prevent skin damage leading to ageing.
A visit to the onsen can also help to improve your blood circulation and metabolism and melt away mental fatigue if you’re feeling fatigued from work or the stresses of everyday life.
While you’re there, don’t forget to hit up Yunomori Cafe for a healthy homemade Japanese-style meal and snacks accompanied with nutritious drinks and traditional Japanese desserts to complete your mental vacation to a Japanese onsen.
