by

With Chinese New Year around the corner, add a touch of flora and fauna to your living space for that extra measure of good luck and prosperity with plants from these nurseries in Singapore. As the Chinese saying goes  “花开富贵”, it literally means “as the flowers bloom, so does your fortune”, that being said, we’re rolling up our sleeves and bringing in as much huat into our homes as we can.

Whether you’re buying a new plant or two, or simply enjoying the fresh feel of being surrounded by greenery in a nursery, we’ve rounded up 10 of our favourite nurseries from around our sunny island just for you. P.S. buying plants can be extremely addictive and can be compared to falling down a dark, slippery slope, don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Another family-owned business, The Nursery Singapore deviates from the typical nursery with its atypical opening times, specially catered to the working crowd. Upon conversation, we learnt that the two brothers who own the business, actually hold full-time jobs along with running the nursery after work. If that’s not dedication, we don’t know what is.

The Nursery Singapore also offers bespoke services for those who are looking to spruce up their place with some greenery but don’t know where to start, from care to consultancy to curation.
