If you’re a sucker for all-day breakfast like I am, this tiny Muslim-friendly cafe along Kampong Glam might be right up your alley.
The aptly named All Day Breakfast Cafe 21 opens every day serving hearty, no-frills all-day breakfast sets, the kind you might find at a late-night American diner.
Take your pick from the extensive selection of mains, which we can safely say falls under the realm of simple comfort food. Most tend to go for the popular Morning Delicacy (S$6.90), which pairs indomie with smoked sausage and a sunny side up. How can you go wrong with that?
If you’re in the mood for something heartier, the Brunch Royale (S$13.90), comprising scrambled eggs, hashbrown, chicken patty, and pancakes with maple syrup, is reminiscent of the Breakfast Deluxe from a certain fast food chain.
I can totally see those with a sweet tooth heading straight for the cinnamon sugar-coated Nutella Stuffed French Toast (S$8.90) — the breakfast I would dream about as a kid.
Of course, you can also find equally hearty but “less breakfast-y” options like the Crispy Chicken Cutlet Sandwich (S$13.90), Chicken Chop (S$12.90), and Mentaiko Fries (S$7).
They even serve Korean ramyeon — you have the option of either K-Style Shin Ramyeon Soup (S$8.90) or assorted K-Style Samyang Egg Ramyeon (S$8.90) — all with your desired spice levels.
Wash it all down with refreshing cold drinks and bubble tea in refreshing options like Brown Sugar Fresh Milk (S$5.50), Passion Fruit Green Tea (S$4), and Thai Red Milk Tea (S$5). We hear that Gelato (S$5) in flavours like Korean Strawberry Cheesecake, Milo Dinosaur w Marshmallows, and Chrysanthemum w Goji Berries is also in the works!
Do note that seating (both indoor and outdoor) is pretty limited, but the cafe is still worth popping by if you find yourself in the area.
