As always, the IG-worthy space is spruced up with eye-catching red-white booths, neon sign boards, and an old-school jukebox. Keep it naughty by ordering a round of Milkshakes as you load up on Chicken & Waffles, a Slapjack Fry-Up, or Blueberry Pancakes for the full classic diner experience.

There’s no need to travel to Ang Mo Kio for Banh Mi Saigon, home to arguably Singapore’s best banh mi, when you can visit its sister outlet, Miss Saigon in Orchard Plaza.

Some of the best post-drinking food in town awaits in the form of authentic and hearty banh mi stuffed generously with Roasted Pork, Fried Fish Cake, and Special Beef Piper Lolot, grilled beef wrapped with wild betel leaves.

Geylang is a haven for supper-goers, even more so for those who find themselves craving comforting Taiwanese fare.

Yong He Eating House may not instantly transport you to +886, but their selection of dim sum, alongside dishes like Taiwanese Oyster Omelette, Toasted Bun with Meat Floss Egg, and the savoury Saltish Beancurd, always hits the spot.

This perpetually packed supper spot in the east may offer the usual Indian fare, but it’s the S$7.90 prata buffet they’re best known for. You can choose from 16 varieties of prata, ranging from the classic Egg and Cheese to slightly more “out there” variations like Pineapple, Ikan Bilis, and Banana.

If a good bowl of fishball noodles, laksa, or dumpling soup is what you seek, look no further than Ming Fa Fishball Noodles’ outlets in Upper Thomson and Ang Mo Kio

However, it’s the Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle (bak chor mee) that everyone seems to rave about — feel free to request for extra chilli, vinegar, and crispy pork lard for maximum shiok factor.

As one of the few Indian Muslim eateries in the CBD that open all day, everyday, Akbar 24 Hours Restaurants is a reliable spot to get your roti prata, maggi goreng, or biryani fix if you’re not feeling the usual trendy Tanjong Pagar fare.

They even have a “drive-thru” service, so you can easily call ahead or place your order for pick-up via a small window at the back of the coffeeshop.

9. R.K. Eating House

Ask anyone where the best supper spot in Serangoon Gardens is, and you’re likely to get R.K Eating House as the answer.

You won’t go wrong with any of the prata selections, but the bustling eatery is perhaps best known for their legendary R.K. Special, also known as Prata Tsunami. Crispy kosong prata is torn into pieces and slathered in a mixture of curries, sambal, mutton chunks, chicken thigh, and two runny soft boiled eggs — very sinful, but oh-so satisfying.

11. Orh Kee Noodles Killiney

Photo: @sofatdontcare/instagram

If your idea of the ultimate hangover food is a hearty bowl of noodles, Orh Kee Noodles is where it’s at.

The chain serves up a mean traditional bak chor mee that hits all the right spots, but it’s the slightly more premium Orh Kee Signature Minced Meat Mee Sua and Hotate Scallop Noodles that will satisfy both your seafood and noodle cravings at the same time.

They’ve got outlets in Killiney Road, Ang Mo Kio, and Serangoon, including two “Express” outlets in Sengkang and Chai Chee, so you can easily get your fix anytime.

Speaking of hangover cures, some swear by bak kut teh. And where else but Balestier Bak Kut Teh after a wild night of partying for some nourishing soup for the soul (and body)?

Head straight for the Classic Bak Kut Teh Soup, though we recommend forking out extra for the Premium Loin Ribs, along with fried you tiao, beancurd, and your innards of choice (do you tend to go for the liver, kidney, trotter, stomach, or intestines?).

13. Smile Dessert Bugis

Photo: @coconutjuiceeee/instagram

You’ve probably seen Smile Dessert, the loud and extremely pink three-storey cafe and dessert parlour in Bugis, all over social media.

Unlike the other 24-hour food spots on this list, they are a hit with kids, and for good reason (the giant ball pit and cute IG-worthy decor, perhaps). Still, we can see why it’s a popular spot for a post-dinner sweet treat — the extensive menu features Korean-inspired bingsu, souffle pancakes, layered cakes and even traditional sweets like Mango Sago Pomelo and Walnut Paste — plenty to choose from.

With outlets in Ang Mo Kio, Chong Pang, Woodlands, Jurong West, Marine Parade Central, Simei, and Redhill, Takagi Ramen is one of those 24-hour food spots you can always count on.

It’s easy to see why their affordable Japanese fare such as the signature Takagi Ramen (S$6.90), donburi, bubble tea, and even wholesome breakfast options like ochazuke, porridge, and S$2 onigiri, are always so popular. There’s also no GST or service charge — yay

126 Dim Sum Wen Dao Shi is probably the second most popular dim sum supper spot in Singapore after Swee Choon.

The old-school eatery boasts an extensive Hong Kong-style dim sum menu featuring crowd favourites like king-sized siew mai, Shanghai soup dumplings, extra flowy liu sha bao, and so much more.

You can have a hearty feast whenever you like at this Geylang institution, but just be prepared to queue during peak hours.

Formerly located at Golden Mile Complex, the beloved Nana Original Thai Food continues to dish out tasty and authentic Thai cuisine.

There are four outlets in Singapore, but you’ll have to head down to either the one along Clementi Road (which is often packed with students from the neighbouring NUS), or at Aperia Mall in Kallang for your fix Basil Rice, Pickled Crab Salad, and Tom Yum round the clock.

Also located along North Bridge Road is another bak chor mee stall, the Michelin-recommended Shanyuan Teochew Kway Teow Mian. You can go for the regular Minced Meat Noodle if you like, but we prefer the heartier version with fish dumplings and fishballs (there’s also mee tai mak).

But if you prefer something more comforting on a rainy evening, the Fishball Kway Teow Noodle Soup will warm you right up.

Despite the rebrand, Al Makan in Tampines, formerly known as Al Azhar, remains a popular 24-hour food spot for those living in the east.

Aside from the usual briyani, murtabak, and prata (don’t miss out on the Butter Chicken Masala with a side of naan), you can also find satay, Thai, and Western cuisine, and local fare like chicken rice and nasi lemak.

Woorinara Korean Restaurant in Bukit Timah may be the more well-known outlet of the two, but it’s the Jalan Besar outlet that opens round the clock.

In fact, it just might be the only 24-hour Korean food spot in Singapore, because where else can you satisfy your cravings for Korean BBQ, fried chicken, stews, ramyeon, or tteokbokki at 3am?
